According to the announcement, on November 30, 2021, China Railway Materials Co., Ltd. issued the "Announcement of China Railway Materials Co., Ltd. on the Approval of the Professional Integration of the Logistics Sector of China Railway Material Group Co., Ltd. and China Chengtong Holding Group Co., Ltd." (2021-Lin051), announcing the implementation of professional integration of the logistics sectors of China Railway Materials Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Iron&Steel") and China Chengtong Holding Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Chengtong"). China Iron & Steel Group changed its name to the new group after the integration, and the equity of related enterprises held by China Chengtong Group and its affiliated enterprises was transferred to the new group after the integration free of charge. After the integration, the new group will focus on the construction needs of the modern circulation system and strive to build a modern logistics enterprise with a complete industrial chain and strong comprehensive strength.
The heroes of the five roads gather to show their magic
It is reported that the integration involves five companies, China Iron & Steel Group, China Chengtong Group China's China Material Storage and Transportation Group Co., Ltd., Hong Kong China Travel Service Huamao International Logistics Co., Ltd., China Logistics Co., Ltd., China Packaging Co., Ltd., China Iron & Steel Group will be renamed as the new group after the integration - China Logistics Group, China Logistics Group by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council to perform the duties of investors, the company's controlling shareholders and actual controllers have not changed. At this point, another giant logistics national team was officially born.
On December 3, the above-mentioned parties issued an acquisition report announcement, transferring 100% of the equity of China Material Storage and Transportation Group Co., Ltd., 45.79% of the shares of Huamao Logistics, 40% of the equity of China Logistics Co., Ltd. and 100% of the equity of China Packaging Co., Ltd. held by China Chengtong Group and its affiliated enterprises to China Railway Materials Group Co., Ltd. (i.e. China Logistics Group) without compensation.
Judging from the five companies currently integrated, they actually have their own emphases in their respective logistics segments. For example, warehousing, transportation and industrial resources have been deeply cultivated for many years and have a fairly solid foundation, but it is undeniable that there are overlaps in the business. How to give full play to their respective advantages after integration and make full use of their strengths and avoid weaknesses will also become a problem that China Logistics Group will face soon.
1. Trade logistics
China Iron & Steel Group is mainly engaged in rail transit industry comprehensive services and modern logistics comprehensive services, covering oil supply chain, railway track supply chain, railway equipment supply chain, international train agent, bulk commodity logistics, engineering project logistics, factory logistics, strategic material reserves, etc., with more than 270 logistics operation outlets under it, and 29 logistics bases, covering 22 major cities in the country. The company also has a warehouse area of 300,000 square meters, a material yard area of 2.09 million square meters, 89 railway special lines (contract length of 75 kilometers), more than 300 sets of various types of lifting equipment, more than 170 self-owned transport vehicles, and more than 400 railway flatbed transport vehicles.

China's storage, transportation and warehousing network covers asia, Europe, the Americas and other major economic regions in the world, and has invested and operated logistics parks in more than 20 provinces, municipalities directly under the central government and autonomous regions in China. After nearly 30 years of development, China Logistics has also established large-scale logistics parks in more than 30 hub cities, with land resources of more than 10,000 mu and a warehousing area of about 2 million square meters. At the same time, China Logistics is a logistics industry group that integrates public railway transportation, multimodal transportation, international freight forwarding, warehousing and distribution, production and sales, supply chain finance, ferrous non-ferrous metal trade and other services, with more than 10 customs supervision warehouses and yards, 3 inland river terminals, integration of various social transportation resources, equipped with more than 500 lifting and unloading equipment, 31 railway special lines, a total length of 21927 meters.
4. Third-party international integrated logistics
Huamao Logistics' overseas network covers more than 160 countries and regions, and its main business includes international air, sea and rail freight forwarding, cross-border e-commerce logistics, international engineering logistics, international warehousing logistics, other international integrated logistics services, and extra-large special professional logistics, achieving full coverage of cross-border logistics products. Huamao Logistics' operating income in the first three quarters of 2021 was 16.602 billion yuan, an increase of 69.16% year-on-year; net profit was 670 million yuan, an increase of 65.92% year-on-year; and net profit in the third quarter was 195 million yuan, an increase of 47.21% year-on-year. 5. Packaging industry

Among the 96 central enterprises under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, China Chengtong Holding Group Co., Ltd. is the only remaining large-scale central enterprise with logistics as the main industry, with the largest warehousing and logistics cluster in state-owned enterprises, and has a number of companies, including China Material Storage and Transportation Group, Hong Kong China Travel Service Huamao, and China Logistics, of which Huamao and China Storage Co., Ltd. are listed companies, and China Storage Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary company of China Material Storage and Transportation Group.
