Sydney, January 21 (Xinhuanet) -- With the Upcoming Chinese New Year, the Chinese Cultural Center in Sydney, Australia, will hold a series of online and offline activities such as the "Happy Spring Festival" to celebrate the arrival of the Lunar Year of the Tiger.

The Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition "Art of Mao Jin – Skills from the Panda's Homeland" opened on January 21 at the Chinese Cultural Centre in Sydney. Focusing on the traditional handicrafts of Sichuan, the "Land of Heavenly Capital", the exhibition will focus on 108 exquisite intangible cultural heritage works such as Shu brocade, Shu embroidery, lacquerware, silver filigree, bamboo weaving, Mianzhu New Year paintings, Qiang embroidery, and Yi silver jewelry. The exhibition will run until March 4.

The Sydney Chinese Cultural Centre will also support the Australian Chinese Arts Promotion Association to hold the "Tiger Music Sydney Chinese New Year Concert", which will be performed by the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra of New South Wales, Australia, and Chinese and Australian artists to perform Chinese and foreign classics such as "Spring Festival Suite", "Pamir My Beautiful Hometown", "Carmen", "Piano Concerto No. 1" and so on.

At the same time, the Sydney Chinese Cultural Centre will also hold a series of online activities, including the "Spring in the World" New Year Concert, the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra "Yangyang Guofeng" concert, the Zhejiang Performing Arts Group dance "Wind from the Sea", the "Splendid Qiantang" that integrates acrobatic and magic performances, the "Spring Festival Drama Rhyme" children's animation short video exhibition, "Taste of China - Tianfu Food Tour", etc., in the form of cloud performances, animation, interactive experiences, workshops and so on.
