Westbrook's acceptance speech: Thank God, thank you Robertson, thank you teammates and coaches

On July 11, 2017, Wizards guard Russell Westbrook reportedly won ESPY's Record-Breaking Award for Best of the Year. This season, Westbrook surpassed Oscar Robertson in a triple-double to rise to the first place in history.

Westbrook recorded the acceptance speech saying, "Thank you. First of all, I want to thank God for giving me incredible talent to compete at the highest level every night. Deeply appreciated to the seniors who preceded me, especially Oscar Robertson. Thank you for the sacrifice he put into the sport and for the inspiration he has brought me. Thank you to my teammates and coaches over the years, thank you to the people who voted for me, I'm grateful, thank you guys. ”
