At more than 5 o'clock this morning, Gao Feng, chief doctor of the Department of Cardiology of the First People's Hospital of Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, went to the badminton hall of the gymnasium to exercise early as usual, which is the early exercise habit he has insisted on for more than 20 years. At 6 o'clock, just when he and his golfers were playing in full swing, one of the golfers in the stadium suddenly fell to the ground, "Come on people! Someone here has fallen to the ground! A series of urgent cries for help attracted the attention of Dr. Gao and rushed to the patient at the first time.
As soon as he arrived at the scene, Dr. Gao found that the patient collapsed on the ground, his face was purple, he was already in a coma, and through the examination, he found that the patient's heartbeat and breathing stopped, and his first reaction was cardiac arrest, so he immediately performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the patient, and let the surrounding golfers dial 120 and take the AED in the stadium.

After 8 minutes of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and 1 AED defibrillation, the patient's carotid artery pulsated, breathing resumed, and his face changed from gray to rosy, and the condition was initially controlled. At this time, the ambulance also arrived at the scene, and the patient was sent to the emergency room of the First People's Hospital of Xiaoshan District for further treatment.
It is reported that the patient's vital signs are stable and the recovery is good. In the critical situation at that time, Dr. Gao took the correct CPR measures for the patient, and successfully guaranteed the effective circulation of the other party's heart and brain for the first time, creating conditions for further resuscitation in the follow-up.
"AED+ CPR" is an important factor in the success of rescue
More than 85% of patients with cardiac arrest are due to ventricular fibrillation, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation as soon as possible are the keys to successful rescue.
For the smooth development of this emergency, the biggest peak of rescue doctors is definitely the configuration of AED in the stadium, he said: "The AED configured in the badminton court in the hall plays a vital role in this first aid. Cardiac arrest means that blood circulation stops, and brain cells are very sensitive to hypoxia. There is a saying in medicine called "golden 4 minutes", if the cardiac arrest within 4-6 minutes, the brain cells will be irreversible damage; more than 10 minutes, even if rescued later, they may become vegetative or face brain death. Therefore, it is very important to rescue and correctly rescue lives as soon as possible. ”

The installation of AED distribution points in Xiaoshan District is about to be promoted
On January 1 this year, the "Hangzhou Municipal Public Places Automatic External Defibrillator Management Measures" began to be implemented, according to the requirements of the new measures, Hangzhou Xiaoshan to airports, railway stations, libraries, stadiums, schools, large supermarkets and other six categories of public places to configure 630 AEDs. At present, there are more than 40 AEDs in the whole district, and 588 AEDs will be added in Xiaoshan District. The allocation of AED in public places has also become the focus of Xiaoshan's ten people's livelihood facts in 2021.
The AED configuration used by Dr. Zhonggao in this rescue is the new configuration on December 25 last year, and after the installation, the staff of the venue also received training in the daily management and operation of AED, which built a safety barrier for the majority of sports fans. In the future, such "life-saving artifacts" will also become more and more popular.
According to the staff of the Xiaoshan District Medical Emergency Command Center, the AED project in public places in the district has completed the bidding. After three declaration screenings, 588 configuration points have been identified. The unified visual identity of the AED configuration in the whole district has also been basically completed. Wait until the AED logo and installation box is completed and immediately start the installation of the whole area.
At the same time, the software development of the management and use platform supporting the AED distribution point has also been basically completed, and all subsequent configuration points will be presented in the form of digital maps, and the use scenario will also be perfectly combined with the pre-hospital emergency command and dispatch system used by the 120 emergency command center. By improving the configuration of AED, we will further improve the pre-hospital emergency response capabilities in Xiaoshan District, improve the well-being of the people, and add a guarantee to the safety of the public.
