Russia commemorates the "Day of the Defenders of the Motherland" Putin laid a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier

Moscow, February 23 (People's Daily Online) According to the Russian News Agency, on the day of Russia's "Defender of the Motherland Day" on the 23rd, Russian President Putin, accompanied by military and police personnel, laid a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier outside the Kremlin to commemorate the soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War. Also present at the ceremony were Russian Defense Minister Shoigu, veterans of the army and representatives of various military academies. Despite the temperature reaching minus 17 degrees that day, Putin still took off his hat to complete the ceremony.
