On January 20, Wuhan Institute of Engineering and Technology held the inaugural meeting of the Rural Revitalization College in the library lecture hall of the university. The newly established college will focus on the needs of rural revitalization and development, fully serve the comprehensive revitalization of rural industries, talents, culture, ecology, organization, etc., and effectively promote the comprehensive upgrading of agriculture, the comprehensive progress of rural areas and the comprehensive development of farmers.

At the inaugural meeting, the participating leaders jointly unveiled the rural revitalization college. Chen Xiangshan, executive director of the school, introduced that the school's rural revitalization college will give full play to the advantages of the school's discipline specialties, and through the cooperation between government, land, school and enterprise, use talent training, education and support, cultural and technological going to the countryside, social internship practice and other forms to build a rural revitalization service platform, form a rural revitalization service team, and carry out rural revitalization service activities.
At the meeting, a letter of appointment was also issued to the director of the "Ten Bases" of the Rural Revitalization College. The rural college will set up "ten bases" such as the rural revitalization leader training base, the rural revitalization innovation and entrepreneurship base, and the rural revitalization culture and science and technology practice base.
The rural revitalization leader training base will give full play to the role of senior talents such as doctors, professors, and returnees of the school, set up a training lecturer group for rural revitalization leaders, and help the rural revitalization talent incubation project with policy publicity, professional accomplishment, and skill improvement through the special training of rural cadres and rich experts, and effectively lead the villagers to get rich collectively.
The Rural Revitalization Culture and Science and Technology Practice Base will set up a social practice team for college students to go to the countryside for culture and science and technology, further promote traditional Chinese culture, inherit rural folk culture, and enhance the scientific and cultural literacy of villagers.

At the meeting, Song Tiantian, deputy director of the Shennongjia Forestry District Bureau of Letters and Visits and secretary of the branch, shared the story of the school and the Shennongjia Forestry District Letters and Visits Bureau jointly designated to help Shuangjian Village in Yangri Town, Shennongjia Forestry District. It is reported that the school has attached great importance to the work of rural revitalization, and has successively selected six groups of nearly 30 village-based staff to carry out village-based assistance work, formulated targeted work measures, and solidly carried out village-based assistance work. The school is mainly responsible for the leadership and the leaders in charge of the village regularly go to the village every year to help and comfort and guide the work, providing a reliable guidance direction for the development of the help work.
