The "14th Five-Year Plan" for the high-quality development of manufacturing industry in Hubei Province proposes to accelerate the construction of a "51020" modern industrial cluster.

"Hubei is rich in phosphate ore resources, and the comprehensive treatment of phosphogypsum and the transformation and upgrading of the phosphorus chemical industry have great responsibilities." In order to promote the green development of the industry, the relevant departments have repeatedly gone to the local area to investigate and promote the establishment of the Three Gorges Laboratory, which is one of the measures of our province to lead the development of the '51020' industry with scientific and technological innovation. Du Yun said.

In December 2021, the Three Gorges Laboratory was inaugurated in Yichang, built by the Yichang Municipal Government, entrusted to Xingfa Group to take the lead, and jointly built by 10 units.

"This is a laboratory led by an enterprise to position the green chemical industry, of which the ecological treatment and utilization of phosphogypsum is an important direction." Du Yun said.

"In the future, we must focus on the needs of industrial innovation, strengthen technical research, promote the industrial chain to move towards the middle and high end, and make the beautiful Hubei and green rise become an important background for Hubei's high-quality development."
