Brunson has 15.8 points, 5.6 assists so far this season, shooting 50 percent from the field, making him one of the five players in the league who can play that statistic on a par with Alphabet Brother, Durant, James and Jokic.
Brunson, 25, averaged 3.8 rebounds and one steal per game, while his salary this season is just $1.8 million.
It came after news that Brunson would seek a four-year, $80 million contract in the offseason.
