Workers on the production line were assembling cars at Shaanxi Automobile's production plant in Xinjiang on January 18. In the first process, the frame of an 8-meter-long heavy truck was hoisted, placed at the workstation, and the assembly began. The main body of the frame is like a torso, and all the accessories are assembled around the frame.
When each worker assembles, they are equipped with spare parts in advance, including nearly 100 types of screws. Each screw is marked with a number, and the workers skillfully find the screw to be used in each part by numbering, and connect the key parts with tools.
The reporter noticed a detail, every time the workers completed a link, they would self-inspect and check each other, and marked the screws with different colors. "A car is a precision tool made up of a lot of parts, and a problem with a small screw will cause a chain reaction." Technical instructor Wang Yonghong said that marking means that the self-inspection and mutual inspection have been completed, and the follow-up testing link will be tested again.
There are more than 40 models produced by Shaanxi Automobile in Xinjiang, with an average of one car off the production line every 10 minutes to 12 minutes, and each process has a corresponding time limit, and the workers need to be quite skilled to be handy.
In the process of frame assembly, a "big guy" is also needed - the middle rear axle, which needs to be hoisted up with equipment, placed on the frame, and assembled. Zhang Yifan is an installer in this process. While busy, he said: "The middle rear axle is more than 2 tons, mainly to power the tires, and it takes 12 largest bolts to fix it. ”
Every time a bolt is installed, Zhang Yifan will use a torque wrench to detect the strength of the tightening, he said: "This is measured according to the strength of the national standard, once the bolt is loose, there may be a big problem, we must keep improving." ”
After completing this process, it is time to assemble the front of the frame – installing important components such as engines, cabs, tires and other important components on the second production line. Wang Yonghong said that after 30 processes, a heavy-duty truck car can be considered assembled, and the follow-up link must re-test the whole vehicle.
In the debugging workshop, the fine division of labor is particularly clear, and every part is responsible.
Pu Chenglong, a worker in the finishing team, took a paint spray gun to do the last process - spraying wax to protect the exterior paint surface of the vehicle. At the other end, when Zhou Peng, the head of the commissioning team, inspects the trachea, water tank, wiring harness, etc. around the engine, he will check whether each screw is installed well. After there is no problem, drive the vehicle to a detection line, where multiple computer instruments will display the parameters of key links such as vehicle tires, lights, brakes, and horns.
Since last year, with the help of new energy transformation, Shaanxi Automobile Xinjiang has continuously improved its technology, completed the upgrading of vehicle emission standards from China 5 to 6, launched a dual-fuel oil and gas hybrid model, and implemented technical transformation projects such as natural gas vehicle exhaust analyzers and automatic fiber laser marking machines.
After all vehicles have been commissioned in the workshop, they must be tested on the road, and finally there is no problem before they can enter the garage for customers to choose. At this point, heavy trucks will play their role in urban construction and economic development.
