According to Reuters Washington, three people familiar with the matter said that the US State Department has approved Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia to deliver US-made missiles and other weapons to Ukraine because US President Biden predicted that Russia would take action against Ukraine.

Under U.S. export control regulations, countries must obtain approval from the U.S. Department of State before delivering weapons acquired from the United States to third parties.

One of the people familiar with the matter said that under the third-party delivery agreement, Estonia and Lithuania will deliver Javelin anti-tank missiles and Stinger missiles to Ukraine, respectively.

A State Department spokesman reportedly confirmed that the U.S. government had approved Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and the United Kingdom to supply U.S. weapons and equipment to Ukraine from their own stockpiles, but did not elaborate on which weapons. (Compilation / Xiong Wenyuan)
