Do you know that China and the United States almost fought in the South China Sea 6 years ago? The us navy's two aircraft carrier battle groups were on the edge of the South China Sea, and China and the United States almost moved in the South China Sea.

This is the famous 2016 Sino-US South China Sea confrontation!

Many people may not know this matter, but in this famous confrontation, the United States dispatched two aircraft carrier fleets, hundreds of aircraft, and tens of thousands of officers and soldiers. In order to defend the mainland's territorial sovereignty from infringement, the mainland also set up a battle, and the three major fleets of the North Sea, the East China Sea, and the South China Sea were fiercely armed, and four admirals put on armor and led the officers and men of our army to the South China Sea together.

In the inland areas of the mainland, inside the base of a mysterious force, dozens of Dongfeng 21Ds, known as aircraft carrier killers, are like heavenly arrows, and the sword is ready to be launched for a long time. The two navies engaged in a zero-distance face-to-face standoff.

It is also the confrontation between the two most powerful nuclear-armed countries since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Even before they set out, the officers and men of our army were ready to return home wearing red flags and dying

So why did the United States drive its aircraft carrier to the South China Sea on the mainland? What is their purpose? What about the outcome of this crisis?

Today, Ah Feng will take everyone back in time and space back to 6 years ago to witness the unprecedented confrontation between China and the United States

The cause of this confrontation in the South China Sea was actually caused by an arbitration case conducted by the Philippines against the south China Sea on the mainland! Why does a small Philippines dare to point fingers at the mainland territory? It's nothing more than someone behind you. And it's just a jumping beam clown pushed to the front of the stage.

In fact, as early as 2013, the Philippines had already proposed the China-Philippines South China Sea Arbitral Tribunal, but the mainland authorities did not take care of it. On October 29, 2015, the arbitral tribunal made an award on the issue of jurisdiction and admissibility.

To put it bluntly, this is just the stone that the United States first threw out in order to achieve the desired purpose of its Asia-Pacific rebalancing strategy. The mainland has also issued statements on many occasions:

"China does not attend, does not accept, does not recognize"

(Figure 5) Cartoon satirizing the South China Sea arbitration

Our own affairs are in our own hands, and our territorial sovereignty does not need to be pointed out by others. As for the ridiculous arbitration proposed by the Philippines, it is up to it to sing the monologue itself!

The United States and the Philippines worked back and forth for half a day, and finally they were held back by a statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry. However, the United States did not give up and joined forces with Japan, the Philippines and other so-called allies to continue to disrupt the situation in the South China Sea.

(Figure 6) A "point" cannot be less

In July 2016, the Hague Court of International Arbitration rendered a "final ruling" on the South China Sea arbitration case, while the USS Reagan and USS Stanis aircraft carrier battle groups, two cruisers and four destroyers rushed into the South China Sea. After entering the waters of the South China Sea, it quickly launched a warning formation to pose a standard combat posture.

It is obvious that it is to use force to force China to comply, and if China is not careful to suppress the scene, it will face a huge crisis, and the United States can take advantage of this to control the South China Sea in one fell swoop and achieve the Asia-Pacific rebalancing strategy.

On July 12, 2016, the Philippines ruled in favor of the Philippines, not recognizing the mainland's sovereignty over the South China Sea, and even saying that the South China Sea has been an unowned territory since ancient times and has never belonged to the mainland. The Philippine government immediately issued a statement expressing "welcome" to the "result" and expressing the hope that all parties will exercise restraint and calm. On July 14, 2016, the Philippines planned to send a special envoy to the mainland, saying that it was to assist the mainland in the handover of territory in the South China Sea.

Our territory where the round of the upper people say nonsense, what the Hague Arbitral Tribunal. It is nothing more than a farce instigated by a bunch of demons and ghosts. The South China Sea has been our inherent territory since ancient times. In the face of the Philippines and the United States reversing black and white and provoking right and wrong, our territorial sovereignty cannot be trampled on by anyone.

On the road of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, we are steadily advancing in the concept of peaceful cooperation. But we are always provoked by the latecomers, we love peace, we advocate development. But that doesn't mean we're weak, it doesn't mean we can be bullied at will.

Now the eyes of the whole world are on us. For us, people have already hit the door. Behind us are our compatriots, our territory, our motherland, we have no way to retreat, now we can only desperately. Decades of development can be ruined if it is acknowledged.

(Figure 9) Protests by compatriots

Choking the South China Sea is equivalent to choking the dream of China's maritime power. Even if there are swords and mountains and seas of fire ahead, even if our weapons are backward and outnumbered. Even though the Shandong aircraft carrier is still in the shipyard, and the conventional aircraft carrier of the Liaoning warship has just gone to sea and has not yet formed combat effectiveness, we will still show our swords to the enemy.

Use the corpses of those who want to contaminate the territory of the mainland to kill a bloody path for the rise of great powers. There is no other choice but victory in this crisis.

(Figure 10) Bright sword, bright sword

This is the closest china has come to war since the 21st century, but it is an ordinary day that ordinary people are accustomed to. Just when the US military is approaching the South China Sea, it is constantly tempting. China sent a brief message to the outside world

The Chinese fleet is to conduct large-scale military exercises in the South China Sea, requiring ships from all sides to suspend shipping.

China's three main fleets in the North Sea, the East China Sea and the South China Sea, leading flagships and more than 100 large and small ships, appeared on the surface of the sea and quickly assembled in the South China Sea. Among the flagships, there are four admirals in command. The guns were loaded with ammunition and issued, and the posture of preparing for attack during the exercise was prepared. The Strategic Missile Force, which we call the Rocket Force, also immediately entered the first level of combat readiness. Dongfeng Express is always ready to lead the bow.

Many recalled afterwards that the streets, highways, and trains were crowded with emergency recalls of furloughed soldiers, and soldiers preparing to be discharged delayed. Reserve armies were mobilized everywhere, and a major war was about to break out. Any trace of wind and grass on the surface of the South China Sea will not only set off a storm.

Why did the South China Sea become a land of right and wrong? The South China Sea covers an area of 3.5 million square kilometers, which is vast and beautiful. It is the main transportation route of energy transportation and trade in the mainland, and is the throat of Sino-European trade and Sino-US trade.

There is also oil and gas energy, which is the envy of the world, and it is also the region with the richest natural resources in the four major seas of the mainland. Moreover, the South China Sea is also known as the second Persian Gulf, and it is optimistically estimated that the oil reserves in the South China Sea have reached a staggering 55 billion tons, and the types of minerals are innumerable. Only countries that can control resources in the future will have more say in the world.

(Figure 13) The vastness of the South China Sea

In order to maintain its so-called world hegemony, the United States has constantly waited for opportunities in the South China Sea to provoke disputes and create contradictions. Domesticating greedy wild dogs with fleshy bones makes it indisputable strategic position in the South China Sea. The annual shipping volume is far more than the Sum of the Suez Canal and the Panama Canal combined. It can be said that whoever controls the South China Sea can choke our throats.

I don't know how many years ago, peace-loving Chinese people have lived here. In order to resist the invaders, countless blood and tears were paid, which laid the foundation for the mainland South China Sea, but with the change of time and the change of history. Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines and other surrounding countries are always looking for opportunities to seize the islands and invade our territory at will.

Especially in modern times, with the sudden change of the international situation, the encroachment of various countries on the South China Sea has reached the extreme. Behind these greedy figures, a dark force has never stopped.

The Asia-Pacific region has always been a key focus area for the United States, although the United States and China are far apart geographically. But we still can't stop the palm of the hand full of intrigue, and we not only respond to this disgusting provocation with our actions again and again.

On April 1, 2001, U.S. Navy reconnaissance aircraft harassed and reconnoitered the airspace in the South China Sea. Treating the territorial sovereignty of other countries as nothing is like a back garden. In the face of such provocation, the mainland sent two J-8 fighters to monitor and intercept them, and shouted at them, demanding that the aircraft withdraw from the mainland's airspace.

In the face of the expulsion of the mainland, the US reconnaissance plane remained unmoved. Finally, 110 kilometers southeast of Hainan Island, Wang Wei, a soldier of the People's Air Force, defended the mainland's airspace from being provoked by US reconnaissance planes. Flying his own aircraft 81192, he slammed into the US reconnaissance plane, forcing the US reconnaissance plane to return.

And our hero Wang Wei accompanied the aircraft 81192 has never appeared at the air base again, he used his life to practice the duties of the soldiers, and maintained the dignity of the motherland in the South China Sea.

After the events of 9/11, the United States shifted its focus to the Middle East. Deployments in the Asia-Pacific region have been significantly reduced.

We were given a short break. At this moment, we are seizing the time to develop and strengthen ourselves, we are studying and developing scientific research, improving the army, vigorously improving our weapons and equipment, and enhancing our national defense strength. Our comprehensive national strength is constantly improving, and everything is developing in a prosperous manner. Yet the peace left to us is always short-lived.

Our rapid development has once again caught the attention of the Americans, who are once again returning to the Asia-Pacific region. And the U.S. fleet is making waves in the South China Sea in the name of free navigation.

(Figure 17) The U.S. military sent troops to the Middle East

Time went back to the so-called arbitral tribunal period again, and in May 2016, the U.S. Navy once again dispatched the warship USS Lawrence guided-missile destroyer into Chinese territorial waters, and even the commander of the U.S. Navy's Pacific Fleet at the time issued a public statement:

"The United States is ready to go to war with the Chinese military on the same day."

The so-called South China Sea arbitration is just a trick used by the United States, but what they do not understand is that the current China is no longer the China of before. Our desire for peace becomes the source of their greed, and if you want to fight, you will fight.

Let's compare the military forces of the two sides during the confrontation in the South China Sea in 2016, the United States sent two aircraft carrier battle groups of the Reagan and the Uss stanis, including frigates, guided-missile destroyers and other warships, and a mississippi nuclear submarine, with about 150 fighters of various types.

The main combat power of the United States is the USS Reagan, which is the first aircraft carrier fleet formed by the United States after entering the information age, and it is also loaded with the latest scientific research achievements of the United States at that time. It plays a pivotal role in the entire U.S. Navy. With a deck area of 18,000 square meters, it can accommodate 85 fighter jets, and the internal nuclear fuel can last for 20 years. It is also equipped with five squadrons of the U.S. Navy's 11th Carrier-based Aircraft Wing.

(Figure 20) The U.S. aircraft carrier fleet

This was followed by the aircraft carrier Stennis, with a full load displacement of 102,000 tons. With a length of 317 meters, it is known as the world's largest and most vital surface ship, with a strong sea and air blockade capability. The USS Stanis fleet is also the main overseas force of the U.S. Navy. It can carry 80 aircraft of various types.

The main combat forces on the mainland side are the South China Sea Fleet, the North Sea Fleet, and the East China Sea Fleet, including more than 100 ships of various types, such as the Kunming Ship, the Changsha Ship, and the Hefei Ship.

Among them, the Kunming, Changsha and Hefei ships were the only three most recent modern air defense destroyers in active service on the mainland at that time, in addition to the 052C destroyer, the 054a frigate, and the 056 type frigate. It's an elite effort.

(Figure 22) Continental Naval Fleet

There are also dozens of fighters such as the Six Bomb Seven and the J-11B. On the periphery, the 94-class nuclear submarine and the 21-D anti-aircraft carrier missile are also deployed, which is also a medium-range missile specially developed to deal with the US aircraft carrier, and a single Dongfeng 21-D can completely destroy a US aircraft carrier.

At the same time, the DF-26 medium- and long-range ballistic missiles are also deployed, and the Dongfeng-26 medium- and long-range ballistic missiles are advanced solid medium- and long-range ballistic missiles developed by the mainland. It is also the core force of medium and long-range strike weapons.

(Figure 23) Dongfeng Missile Force

It can be said that we have all the family funds that can participate in the war, although our weapons and equipment lag behind the US army, but we can still dare to show the sword to the enemy.

In the past, military exercises were nothing more than you and I achieved a deterrent effect on each other. But the 2016 standoff has far exceeded the boundaries of the past, with both sides carrying real knives and guns. It's like a fighting match, where both sides' punches and kicks are almost attached to each other's noses.

As the old saying goes, the narrow road meets the brave wins. The same is true of the issue of arbitration in the South China Sea, and only by letting the enemy see that we are not afraid of sacrifice, even if we use all our strength, we must fight with you to the death.

Since the 21st century, China's closest to war was the confrontation between the Chinese and US navies in the South China Sea in 2016

(Figure 24) Chinese Navy

On July 12, the day the so-called arbitration result came out, the situation in the South China Sea continued to heat up. The soldiers of our army have even written a suicide note, and everyone is holding their breath.

China and the United States are like two top masters to see who makes the first move. No one knows where the real war will end, but our soldiers are ready for everything, including heroic sacrifices. Once the war begins, their aircraft carriers will come and go, and the day of the war will be next year's festival day.

Since the 21st century, China's closest to war was the confrontation between the Chinese and US navies in the South China Sea in 2016

(Figure 25) Naval warriors

In the face of the mainland's momentum of not being afraid and fighting to the death, the US side seemed to be completely silent, as if it were completely silent. What the course of the South China Sea would turn out was unknown at the time, and there was no answer.

The silence did not last long, and Chinese officials released photos of strategic bombers flying away from the exercise positions over Huangyan Island. The location of this photo is not far from the location of the US aircraft carrier, and the meaning behind this photo represents that the coordinates of the US aircraft carrier have been exposed, and it depends on whether the US military can receive the package of Dongfeng Express.

Since the 21st century, China's closest to war was the confrontation between the Chinese and US navies in the South China Sea in 2016

(Figure 26) Information released by the Air Force

Faced with the principle that if discovered, it will be destroyed, the two US aircraft carrier battle groups collectively withdrew backwards from the South China Sea and sailed to the high seas to resolutely admit it. After only three destroyers were left, the confrontation between China and the United States in the South China Sea has already been established, and the farce that China and the United States are closest to war has quietly ended.

However, the mainland officials did not directly publicize this matter, but only said the following paragraph in a program introducing the Rocket Force:

In July 2016, the South China Sea was full of war clouds. The Rocket Force and the Navy launched joint operations, and the naval ship formation braved the strong enemy to face the difficulties."

The world has never been peaceful, and only strong strength can guarantee being alone.

To this day, the army defending us is stronger than ever. Our comprehensive national strength is also stronger than ever. We are now the closest we can get to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, but we are strong for the sake of peace. Our efforts are for peace
