In 2012, the Japanese TV series "Locked Room" premiered, and the word of mouth was very good. This Japanese TV series was adapted into a film of the same name in 2014, and achieved excellent box office results in Japan. The domestic TV series "Locked Room" has a lot of references to the Japanese version.
In the Japanese version, the male protagonist is a small locksmith who unlocks, while Jin Shijia's version is an associate professor of criminal investigation research at a university. In the Japanese version, the heroine is an assistant clerk of a law firm. Si Ni's version is an excellent female police officer who serves the people. The change of the social roles of the male and female protagonists is also the inevitable sinicization of the plot. In Chinese suspense dramas, it is obviously unreasonable to let the little locksmith and the little assistant investigate the murder in the secret room.
But the problem of "Locked Room" starring Jin Shijia is also very obvious. First of all, it is the personality of several protagonists in the play. In this kind of suspenseful reasoning drama of murder in the secret room, the personality of the male and female protagonists is particularly critical, and it is also an important content to form a point of view. The character personality can stand up to scrutiny, and the plot will give fans a real and effective sense of vision. In contrast, the TV series "Locked Room", there are many debatable places in the creation of the protagonists' human settings.
The male protagonist played by Jin Shijia, in order to shape his coldness, many scenes are very excessive. For example, the male protagonist is on a plane listening to music on Bluetooth. Such equipment is not allowed to be opened on civil aviation aircraft. This kind of illegal operation will not bring the male protagonist an "advantage" in human settings, and can only make many fans feel that the male protagonist is just a model of garlic. In "Locked Room", many similar scenes do not give the male protagonist extra points, which can only make the audience feel that the uncle is too pretentious.
Jin Shijia's stage performance style likes to pursue the tone of drama. However, the use of this style in the filming of TV dramas makes the characters seem too unreal. This kind of unreality, used in some period dramas, will produce a different taste, but it is very embarrassing to use this kind of modern suspense drama that strives to prove that it is true. On the one hand, it is to strive to shape the truth of the plot, on the other hand, the drama of the actor's acting skills, the truth and false are together, the acid-base symbiosis, all of a sudden, they dissolve each other, and the organic plot becomes an inorganic performance.
The character design of Si Ni in the play is also too far-fetched. The script wants to create the appearance of a female white, but it makes the characters become the elite of the police officers who lead the team. This contradicts each other. For example, in the plot of the first episode, the character played by Si Ni catches the car thief, directly presses the male protagonist played by Jin Shijia, and asks him to take out the lease contract... Even later, he was told that he had found his lease contract, and there were still various doubts about the male owner. These are the small white characteristics of the heroine who strive to shape. However, in the play, the heroine is a police officer who can lead the team herself!
"Locked Room" deliberately lowers the IQ of the heroine to achieve a supplementary contrast to the male protagonist's personality. This practice, in fact, is still "Detective Conan", behind the tall people, add a few little idiots. However, this method does not conform to reality, and the real high-quality domestic suspense dramas, especially those high-quality suspense and case-solving TV dramas a few years ago, do not use the "Xiaobai" creative method. The IQ of the case-handling personnel is all online, so as not to let the CONTENT of the TV series fall to the edge of the children's drama.
Moreover, the most critical thing is that in the high-quality domestic case-solving TV series many years ago, the male protagonists are normal people and do not engage in anything different. Similar to Jin Shijia's alternative treatment in "Locked Room", it is a typical creative writing to import Japanese crime dramas. This creative way of writing, in the 1960s and 1970s, was just a typical template for Japanese manga for children. For so many years, there has been no development in creative ideas, which is really too outdated.
In addition to the character design, it is a problem of the plot logic of the secret room detection case. The murder in the secret room is an important part of the suspense drama. The reason why this kind of drama is good is the fighting IQ between the screenwriter and the audience. In the case of murder in the chamber of secrets, the most important requirement is to quickly present all the suspects and let the audience guess who is the real murderer, but until the last moment, a big reversal of the mystery will be revealed.
On the other hand, Jin Shijia's "Locked Room", at this point, can be called "failing". In the plot of the first episode, it was half a day, and finally there was no need to act, making a character who appeared for the first time in the play, and then came a big conviction. This narrative method of flowing accounts does not have any IQ point of "secret room murder drama" at all. Blinding the way to make ten thousand wrong suspects, at the last moment, to make a character who has never appeared in the previous plot, admit the crime, this is not a good screenwriter should have a screenwriting trick, this is not a battle with the audience in iq, but directly discriminate against the aesthetic level of the fans.
A similar example appears in the second episode. At the same time, there are serious problems with the logical self-consistency of the second episode. The reasoning drama itself cannot stand the scrutiny, and the TV series cannot stand. For example, the conviction link of the whole case is the ring of the negative character, and the barrage audience is directly ironic, why use the ring, use a small stone on the line, on this IQ, also dare to kill people in the secret room, who does the screenwriter insult?
For example, the surveillance can see the ex-boyfriend who came to visit, but can't see the criminals who carry gas cylinders in and out of the female victim's house and open the sewers? These loopholes make Jin Shijia's version of "Locked House" really just a loophole drama for children.
