KCNA reported on Jan. 20 that North Korea will implement an amnesty to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the birth of the late Supreme Leader Kim Il Sung and the 80th anniversary of the birth of Kim Jong Il.

The Permanent Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK issued the above-mentioned decree on the 13th, and the pardon will be implemented on the 30th. This is the second time in North Korea that it has pardoned prisoners after about a year and a half since august 2020 commemorated the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party.

KCNA said the DPRK cabinet and relevant organs will take operational measures to make the released people feel at ease to work and live.
