Oyhan Sanchet Tirap ( born 25 April 2000 in Pamplona , Spain ) is an attacking midfielder or striker who currently plays for La Liga side Athletic Bilbao.
Sanchet's path to football began at the Osasuna Navarra Academy in Pamplona.
In 2012, in the inter-school event organized by the Osasuna Foundation, Sanchet, who is 1 year younger than his peers, stood out in the competition, was named the best player of the tournament, and was selected by the Navarre U-12 team, where Sanchet continued to improve every year and quickly became the brightest pearl of the Osasuna B team.
In April 2018, Sanchet joined the Basque-dominated Athletic youth team of Bilbao from Osasuna. On 18 June 2018, he was called up by head coach Eduardo Berriso to the first team for pre-season.
On 25 August 2018, Sanchet made his debut for Athletic B Bilbao in a Match against Tuderano in La Liga B and scored a goal to help the home side win 2-0.
In September of the same year, Sanchet suffered a serious injury from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee in a Race B match, and did not return to the field until March 2019.
From 2018-2020, Sanchet made 24 appearances for Athletic Bilbao B, scoring 7 goals
In the 2019-20 season, Sanchet was included in the team's main squad for the new season by head coach Garretano. On 16 August 2019, in a 1-0 home win over Barcelona, Sanchet came on in the second half in the second half in place of De Marcos, making his career and La Liga debut.
On 27 June, in a 3-1 win over Mallorca, Sanchet scored his first goal.
In December 2020, as Sanchet made enough appearances, Athletic Bilbao paid Osasuna a development fee of €150,000.
On 3 January 2022, Sanchet scored a hat-trick to help the team win 3-1 at Osasuna. It was the first hat-trick a Athletic Bilbao player to play in the league since Aduris in 2016.
At the age of 21 and 253 days, Sanchet became the youngest player to score a hat-trick for Athletic Bilbao in the 21st century, and the first "post-00" player in La Liga history to score three yuan in a single game.
So far this season, Sanchet has made 17 appearances for Athletic Bilbao (La Liga), scoring 4 goals and assisting 3 goals.
Sanchet has been known for his excellent passing and tackling skills since his time at Osasuna Academy, and as an attacking midfielder, Sanchet has a strong ability to score headers and long-range shots.
