Ancient events in Liaoyang - the Southern and Northern Dynasties to the Sui and Tang Dynasties

479 (the first year of the founding of Emperor Taizu of Qi)

Emperor Xiao dao of Qi Gao ordered the senior monk Shi Tanchao of the Lingyin Mountain in Qiantang to go to Liaodong to "praise the Zen Dao" and "practice the Dharma". He stayed in Liao for two years, and Jianyuan returned to Beijing in the fourth year.

Sui Dynasty

612 to (8th year of Daye)

The Sui Emperor Yang Guang marched on Goguryeo, and in March, he led his land troops to cross the Liaoshui (present-day Liaohe) and fought on the east bank, the Goguryeo army was defeated, and the Sui army besieged Liaodong City (present-day Liaoyang City) until June, and the attack was long. In the ninth year of Daye, Yang Guang once again personally conquered Goguryeo. In April, Emperor Jue crossed the Liaoshui River to besiege Liaodong City, and the strong attack did not fall for more than 20 days, and in June, the army retreated to Beijing. In 614 (the tenth year of Daye), Yang Guang personally conquered Goguryeo three times. The Sui army across the sea occupied the Great Black Mountain in present-day Jinzhou, Dalian, and prepared to march into Pyongyang. The king of Goryeo sent envoys to Liaodong City, where he asked for surrender, and Yang Guang returned his army in August.

Tang Dynasty

645 (19th year of Zhenguan)

In April, Emperor Taizong Li Shimin swore an oath to youzhou, and ordered Shangshu Li to be the commander-in-chief of the Liaodong Province march, leading the Northern Route Army to cross the Liaoshui River and take Liaodong City (present-day Liaoyang City), and in the same month the soldiers besieged the city. In May, Li Shimin led the Zhonglu Army to cross the Liaoshui River through Mashou Mountain (present-day Shoushan) to meet Li Under the city. Within a few days of conquering Liaodong City, "more than 10,000 victorious soldiers" and "40,000 men and women" in the city. Liaodong City was renamed Liaozhou. In the middle of the month, Li Shimin recited a poem "Liaocheng Wangyue" at the head of the city. "The beginning of the moon is bright, and the brightness of The Chenghui is illuminated." In September 668, the Tang army conquered Pyongyang, the Goguryeo partition regime ended, and the Tang unified the Liaodong region. In present-day Liaoyang City, the governor of Liaocheng Prefecture was established.  In March 676 ( the first year of Yifeng ) , the capital of Andong was moved from Pyongyang to Liaocheng Prefecture ( present-day Liaoyang ) , and was no longer served by Han officials. The following year, the Tang court appointed Goryeo King Gaozang as the governor of Liaodong Prefecture, made the King of Joseon stationed in Liaodong, and moved the capital of Andong from Liaocheng Prefecture to Xincheng (present-day Fushun Gaoershan City).  In 845 (the fifth year of Huichang), Emperor Wuzong Li Yan ordered the History of The Dao Observation to add a qianfang to mint the "Huichang Kaiyuan" currency. The Huainan Festival made Li Kun play a 24-dollar mill and mint money in the name of 24 states.
