Overseas network on January 19, Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force announced on the 19th that the "Land and Water Mobile Regiment", a special unit for the defense of outlying islands participating in the joint training between Japan and the United States in California, has accumulated 40 members infected with the new crown virus.

According to Japan's Kyodo News Agency, during this training, the Japanese Self-Defense Forces sent a total of about 190 people, all of whom tested negative for the new crown before going abroad. After going to the United States, the Japanese side successively found positive cases and fever personnel, and confirmed 40 infected people in the subsequent full test.
