The first winter vacation to fully implement the "double reduction" policy is approaching, and Dong Xiuqi, a second-grade student at Xiaoying Primary School in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, has set a "small goal" this year: to make a stop-motion animation about his daily life in a week before the winter vacation. So, with the help of his parents, he took classes during the day, drew and filmed at night, and finally completed this work a few days ago.

Dong Xiuqi first came into contact with stop-motion animation three months ago. Once, while watching a transformer toy video, "Dad told me that this kind of called stop motion animation, in a fixed scene to the robot to put different actions to take pictures, a lot of photos in order to play, as if the robot is active, we can also do it with our mobile phones." Dong Xiuqi wrote in the composition. With the encouragement of his father, Dong Xiuqi came to be interested, and he decided to try to do animation himself. Unexpectedly, this attempt made the little boy hit a wall: only 3 seconds of animation took me an hour, and it was too difficult to make a cartoon. Carefully pondering the scenes and action changes, Dong Xiuqi's works have slowly received unanimous praise from friends and relatives, and his confidence has become more sufficient.
"Our family's habit is to talk to children about everything, before the Jiangsu Two Sessions, he asked us what the Two Sessions are, and I told him that the Two Sessions are a lot of people meeting together to discuss how to make our lives better." And we can also use stop-motion animation to express this yearning for a better life, which makes him very interested and immediately started to prepare! Dong Xiuqi's mother said. What made her mother proud was that Dong Xiuqi usually liked to draw and was exempted from the art exam for two consecutive semesters in the class. But the production made the mother mutter: the animation is about 12-20 pictures a second, and hundreds of pictures must be cut out piece by piece, can the child really do it? For a week in a row, Dong Xiuqi went to class every day, and came back at night to draw, cut paper, and shoot, and 350 pieces of paper cut showed the inner world of children. "Every day is very motivated and doesn't want us to help because he wants to make a work of his own. As the picture became more and more difficult, the child cried himself several times, but all of them dried their tears and started again, and finally completed the work. Dong Xiuqi's mother told us.
