After a systematic and solid study in Beijing, the sisters went to Austria under the leadership of their mother and applied for the local conservatory. Eventually, Zhang Hanyun was admitted to the Fontis School of Music in the Netherlands, and her sister was admitted to the Royal Conservatory of Music.
