When I was a child, I looked forward to the New Year because I was hungry and lively.
For rural children born in the late 1970s and early 1980s, there are two festivals that are most worth looking forward to: the Mid-Autumn Festival and the Spring Festival. Because there are good things to eat, you can satisfy the appetite. At that time, the problem of food and clothing in the countryside had been solved, but the life of a white-faced steamed bun was not dare to think. At that time, every household fed chickens and sold money for rice, oil and salt in order to save eggs. Tortillas, home-grown greens and pickled pickles are staple foods for ordinary people's three meals a day. Such a life will even be tired of adults, let alone hungry children? Therefore, I am especially looking forward to the Mid-Autumn Festival on August 15 and the Chinese New Year's Eve Chinese New Year. You can eat mooncakes during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the layers of crispy skins, soft and soft fillings, and soft sticky sweet tastes really make me want to stop. However, the Mid-Autumn Festival can only eat mooncakes, the New Year is different, you can eat meat, you can also eat a lot of delicious things. The delicacy of the fat, the tendons of the lean meat, the smoothness of the pork skin jelly, the crispness of the fried lotus, the sweetness of the peanut candy mixed together... Each one is mouth-watering.
For children, the New Year also means winter vacation. In the cold winter, it is absolutely a happy thing not to have to wake up early until you wake up naturally. It would be even better if I could get another award and stick it on the wall. When I was in school, I could basically bring back one every winter vacation. The award certificate was pasted by the parents in the most conspicuous place on the wall. During the New Year, guests come and go, they will notice, and then naturally it is a compliment, my parents are in a good mood, and I have a very comfortable year.
After the end of the year, in the seventh and eighth days of the first year, the village began to prepare for the song, like to join in the hustle and bustle of the song team, we followed behind the song team to walk the streets, the east village and the west village ran everywhere, until the fifteenth day of the first month, the year was not over. Children go to school, adults work, and the cycle repeats.
In this way, in the expectation and joy of the year, I passed one year after another, experienced the middle school entrance examination, the college entrance examination, ended my studies, stepped on the podium, became a family, became a parent, and there were traces of years on my face. One year during the New Year and the sister-in-law chatted, talking about age, suddenly realized that they had overtaken and stood up, suddenly shocked in their hearts, and gave birth to a wave of fear. Since then, although I am still looking forward to the New Year because of the winter vacation rest, I have also developed an inexplicable panic. Suddenly I remembered that when we were young and looked forward to the New Year with joy, the helplessness and bitterness often flowed on the faces of adults. Why are they sad? Children's schooling? New Year's Expenses? Fertilizer for spring... It seems that every generation has the distress of each generation.
Time continues to move forward, I have walked in this world for more than forty years, experienced a lot, and seen through a lot, experienced the great joys and sorrows of life, faded the innocence and youth, smoothed out the edges and corners, and gradually understood that many things in life can not be achieved by wishful thinking, and efforts may not be successful. I also changed my initial view of many things. A lot of things, before it comes, we are full of anxiety, and when it really comes, we find that it is no more than that, and many things are bad to a certain extent and will definitely get better. Thinking about it, the expectation of the year is slightly reduced, the fear has disappeared, and there is more indifference and peace with the encounter.
Soon it is the New Year again, the expectation in my heart is faintly added a few points, in addition to the winter vacation, but also because there is a very good junior high school classmate said to come back from the in-laws in Hunan for the New Year, you can meet and talk, we have not seen each other for more than twenty years, has been a telephone contact. Yesterday, she suddenly received a phone call, saying that because of the epidemic, she would not come back for the New Year. In addition to disappointment, the expectations for the year are even stronger, looking forward to the early passage of this year, looking forward to the early end of the epidemic, looking forward to Guotai Min'an, and looking forward to the clarity of the April day on earth after the Spring Festival!
