A garden with fruity aromas and endless flowers, more than 40 acres of land for you to wander, this is not a Shangri-La, nor a private garden, but a warehouse that was abandoned in the 1970s. Last year, it attracted more than 200,000 tourists from all over the country to punch in.
On the afternoon of January 18, before the second plenary session of the Fifth Session of the 13th Provincial People's Congress, Li Guowu, deputy to the Provincial People's Congress, general manager of Hunan Thirteen Villages Food Co., Ltd. and owner of the garden, as a typical representative, was interviewed by the media on the representative channel, and he shared the beauty of the garden and the industry with everyone.
The "Government Work Report" of the Fifth Session of the 13th Provincial People's Congress proposed, "'Promote the integrated development of cultural tourism +' industries, and cultivate new cultural formats and cultural consumption models." Over the years, Li Guowu has planted flowers, herbs, melons and fruits in the factory floor while making pickles, and over the years, the fragrance of flowers, fruits and sauces has become a paradise of its own. He simply built an open tourist factory, and the tourists were endless. The garden is called Thirteen Villages, located in the countryside of Linxiang, near Hubei, surrounded by hills. In the 1970s, it was the national grain depot. According to the Linxiang County Chronicle, the warehouse can be traced back to the Three Kingdoms, which was Zhou Yu's granary at that time, a total of 13. Later, Li Guowu rented the entire site to operate pickles, and the warehouse was repaired as old as before and turned into a factory building. The mottled green bricks show a long history.
Verdant coriander fruit vines crawled all over the factory walls, ginkgo biloba, loquat, bayberry, grapefruit, persimmon, luohan pine, multicolored plum, dragon jujube tree... Everywhere, where there is a trace of open space, it is full of flowers and plants. There are more than 100 bird cages hanging from the fruit trees, where various birds forage and occasionally jump into the crowds without fear. Walking in the garden, from time to time, I step on the stone mill of an unknown era. A small museum of farming utensils has been opened in the park, and agricultural tools such as ploughs, rakes, windmills, and keel water wheels are complete. There is also an air raid shelter in the center of the park, with a long history, more than two meters high, more than 4,000 meters long, lined with fermenting pickle tanks, pedestrians shuttle through the middle, and the aroma of sauce lingers. The factory building is next to the tourists, and the workers are making squeezed vegetables, spicy radish, curd milk, shiitake mushroom sauce and so on. More than 200 workers are from the local area, and they can go to work and do housework. Tourists who come to visit, after stopping and walking for most of the day, will buy some fermented sauce to take away.
Li Guowu painted a colorful picture of his garden with reporters, "ecological factory, eco-tourism, ecological products." "A few years ago, the garden was rated as a national-level AAA scenic spot. Tourists continue throughout the four seasons, with the largest number of people receiving 1,200 people a day. Later, there were too many tourists to accommodate the venue, so they could only make reservations in advance. After visiting, many tourists have said, "This is the dream place I have been pursuing all my life" and "a factory where I can breathe deeply".
Later, Li Guowu opened an anti-drug exhibition hall in the park, which became more and more perfect, becoming a local student education practice base, and there were more team tourists, and on the eve of "July 1" last year, more than 80 units were received.
The trees are lush and the trees are pristine. The products operated by Li Guowu also pay attention to the original ecology. For example, the raw materials of shiitake mushroom sauce, shiitake mushrooms come from Henan, where the climate is good, the quality of shiitake mushrooms is high, and vegetable oil and other ingredients are from local rural areas. Li Guowu proudly told reporters that he has been contributing to the revitalization of rural areas. Good products superimpose a good environment, forming a virtuous circle, so Li Guowu does not worry about product sales, tourists are salesmen, he only needs to let the garden, products continue to show the original vitality. In fact, Li Guowu did not have much pursuit of economic benefits, he was willing to be charitable and insisted on doing public welfare undertakings, so he was rated as a national moral model. He lived a simple personal life, no villa, not even buying a car.
Inadvertently, Li Guowu made his garden into a cultural park and a tourist internet celebrity spot. At present, many people are deliberately doing a big cultural industry, and after some tossing, it is contrary to culture. Many cultural industry bosses come to learn from the scriptures, and he only said one sentence, culture comes from the true beauty of the heart.
Li Guowu was once a laid-off worker of a supply and marketing cooperative. He studied fine arts, loves photography, especially likes to photograph rural beauty, and his work "New Countryside of Singing" was selected by the Central Propaganda Department and the China Photographers Association for exhibition at the National Art Museum and the China Millennium Monument. Twenty-six years ago, he launched a personal "cultural project" to shoot 10,000 smiling faces in the countryside, and has completed more than 7,000 pictures. Those who are photographed are not star faces, but because of their bright smiles, simplicity and reality, many shots have become classics. A string of smiling faces is actually a complete history of rural development and the era of emojis. Li Guowu looked at those smiling faces and smiled happily.
