In order to realize the modernization of agriculture and rural areas and the increase in farmers' income when they increase production, they need the support of infrastructure investment, strong supply chain, and new e-commerce model
On an early morning last week, in the corn field of Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, a small bud grain that could only retain its flavor for a few hours when it was bulk was picked, and the leaves matured quickly for vacuum packaging. Subsequently, it appeared in Taocai small shops in Beijing, Shanghai and other places, waiting for the community residents who placed orders last night to come and pick up the goods.
This may already be a common order farming scenario for urban consumers. Behind it, a supply network revolution of "aggregate deterministic orders" initiated by the new format of community e-commerce is in the ascendant.
The so-called "aggregate deterministic order" means that e-commerce first aggregates demand and then concentrates supply, first collects orders through "pre-sale", farmers produce and harvest according to the orders determined by urban consumers, and e-commerce and small shops at the end then send products to consumers through "next-day delivery" and "self-pickup". This upgrade and update, which can be called the 2.0 version of order agriculture, allows farmers to have a bottom for how much they plant, how much they harvest, and how much they earn.
Why are deterministic orders so important? In the order agriculture 1.0 version, sales enterprises through the estimated sales volume to the countryside to place orders, or according to the output to determine the purchase volume, farmers plant more may not necessarily be able to sell, the price is not necessarily sold well, although there are orders, but because of information asymmetry, it is still difficult to get rid of the shackles of "increasing production without increasing income".
Today, deterministic orders are bridges, and at one end, the husband-and-wife shops in millions of communities are weaving a more stable and huge community e-commerce base; at the other end, farmers scattered across the country can build bridges to integrate into the supply network and connect to the trillion-level new consumer market.
Orders aggregated affect not only both ends of the supply chain. Perhaps many consumers do not understand that due to the lack of rural warehousing layout, weak cold chain logistics and other reasons, the loss rate of agricultural product circulation links in the mainland is 20% to 30%, which is much higher than the level of about 5% in developed countries.
How to reduce the loss rate of agricultural products? There is no need to worry about the water and no car, and there are those who have risen up to build boats as beams. Through the deterministic order model of taocai vegetable aggregation, the pain points of long-term mismatch between supply and demand in mainland agriculture are expected to be solved, the task of warehousing infrastructure is expected to be "reduced", and the circulation efficiency will also be improved. After less than a year of practice, the road to the rapid upward movement of agricultural products is accelerating and broadening, allowing more "small bud valleys" to fly from here.
The way out for agricultural countries lies in "industrialization", including agricultural modernization , a view put forward by the late mainland economist Zhang Peigang in 1945 and ahead of the global economics community.
Throughout the past few decades, the mainland has made historic achievements in agricultural modernization, and the report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China also clearly put forward the task of rural modernization, and took it together with agricultural modernization as the goal of implementing the rural revitalization strategy. However, in the process of modernization, how to make concerted efforts to promote the transformation and upgrading of agriculture will determine whether a solid urban-rural relationship can be established.
Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued the "Guiding Opinions on Expanding the Multiple Functions of Agriculture and Promoting the High-quality Development of Rural Industries", which requires new rural e-commerce, including cultivating rural e-commerce entities and building agricultural product supply chains.
Since its establishment in March last year, Taocai has opened up five internal supply chains at the production end and connected a platform with more than 100 million active users at the sales end. The front end is a million farmers, nearly 10,000 agricultural product bases, the middle end has a digital agricultural warehouse, and the back end also has a mom-and-pop shop connected to the people's table. In this interlocking supply and marketing network, each link has digital warehousing, agricultural product warehouse with cold chain preservation processing system, and circulation modernization construction escort.
Such a new set of business models, the left hand breaks the shackles of the logistics industry "big but not strong", and the right hand builds a common foundation for the linkage between urban and rural areas by helping farmers increase income and driving rural revitalization, so that urban and rural areas can achieve co-life and co-growth under the drive of modernization.
