After 10 minutes, Wang Tao confirmed that all the instruments and equipment were in good condition, took the equipment and walked to the 5 strands of the EMU, and started the first confirmed car of the Yunnan Railway in the 2022 Spring Festival.
Unlike ordinary passenger trains, confirmed trains do not carry passengers, but are carried by the staff of the railway department's locomotive, vehicle, engineering and power supply systems, and the operating lines and equipment status are checked in advance before the departure of the daily passenger train.
All high-speed rail lines must go through the "mine clearance" of the confirmation car, and after confirming that everything is normal, the high-speed rail train carrying passengers will depart in turn. To this end, the confirmation car also has a nickname - "minesweeper".
At 3:50, the "mine sweeper" drove out of the Kunming EMU on time. In the driver's cab, 4 professional passengers are all the "passengers" on this train. Wang Tao set up the Tianyi instrument on the ground and began to check the time with the driver, which was the beginning of his work today.
At 4:04, the train began to slowly depart from the train, and Wang Tao stood behind the driver obliquely like a "benchmark", always focusing on the line ahead. "In addition to using our eyes to observe the potential hidden dangers on the high-speed rail line, we also need to perceive whether the line is smooth, which is simply to feel whether the train is shaking with the body and make a judgment from the direction of shaking." Wang Tao introduced.
The speed of the train quickly increased, and through the glass window of the driver's cab, only two steel rails illuminated by the headlights and the "telephone poles" that kept speeding towards the back of the car were visible.
"The line just now has slight ups and downs, which does not affect the safety of the high-speed rail, and it is difficult for ordinary people to feel it, but we will still record it, report the data and situation to the analysts, and use it for the fine tuning of the line." This not only ensures the safety of passengers, but also ensures the comfort of passengers. "From the train station, Kunming South Railway Station, Songming Station all the way forward, and finally back to Kunming South Railway Station." Wang Tao carefully recorded every time he went to a station, and then walked to the driver's room at the other end and called to report.
During the 4 hours of the "mine sweeping car" operation, Wang Tao did not sit down for a moment and wrote down a lot of data.
At 7:09, the "minesweeper" arrived at Kunming South Railway Station on time. On the platform, Wang Tao passed by the passengers walking in opposite directions, and his back was quickly submerged in the sea of people.
"Maybe no one knows about our existence, but seeing passengers travel safely and smoothly on the high-speed rail is the value and significance of our work." Wang Tao said.
During the Spring Festival, the "mine sweeping car" continues to move forward every day carrying safety and responsibility, escorting passengers on their way home.
