Mtime Network reported on November 11 that on the evening of the 8th local time in Spain, the European Film Institute announced the list of nominees for the 27th European Film Awards. The Polish film Sister Ida led the nominations, being nominated for five awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actress. Among them, the film's two heroines, Agata Kuresza and Agata Tzebhof, were both nominated for the Best Actress Award, occupying 2 seats in the 6-person nomination list, which can be described as menacing.

However, this does not mean that "Sister Ida" will definitely become a big winner at this year's European Film Awards, and its opponents are not small. This year's Cannes Film Festival Best Picture, the Turkish film "Hibernation" and the best screenplay, the Russian film "Leviathan" also occupy a lot of the nomination list, the former won 3, while the latter received 4 nominations, including the best picture award.

In addition, the Swedish film "Force Majeure", which was also shortlisted for the main competition section of the Cannes Film Festival this year, and the new films of the famous Danish director Russ von Tyre, "Female Addicts: Part I" and the second film, were also nominated for best picture.

It is worth mentioning that "Sister Ida", "Hibernation", "Leviathan" and "Force Majeure" have also been selected by their respective countries as the films for this year's Oscar foreign language film competition. Now shortlisted for the European Film Awards, it has added a lot to the oscar journey of the film, and the shortlist for the Oscar is almost certain.

Known as the "European Oscars", the European Film Awards were presented by the European Film Institute based in Berlin, Germany, and were created in 1988 at the initiative of Swedish film master Ingmar Bergmann. Although the European Film Awards are not as well recognized as the Cannes Film Festival, the Berlin Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival, their selection is highly regarded by the industry for its professional depth and artistic authority.

According to the official release of the European Film Association, the major awards of the European Film Awards will be announced in Latvia on December 13.
