THAMES: The first world cup tickets will go on sale tomorrow for as low as £8, the lowest price since 1986

The Times reported that the first tickets for this year's Qatar World Cup will go on sale tomorrow, with a minimum ticket price of 8 pounds ($11), the lowest ticket price since the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.

The Qatar World Cup will be held from November 21 to December 18, and there are criticisms that the vast majority of Qatar's 2.7 million people are migrant workers who will struggle to afford ticket prices. Organizers are expected to confirm tomorrow the fare range from the group stage to the final, as well as the total number of the cheapest four categories of tickets, which can only be purchased by people with addresses in Qatar. The three categories of tickets are the cheapest available for purchase worldwide, priced at $70, compared to $105 for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The World Cup will be held in 8 stadiums, from the 40,000-seat stadium to the 80,000-seat Lucear National Stadium, which will host the final. These venues are located in or around Doha and have a maximum distance of 35 miles between them.

At the 1986 World Cup, the cheapest ticket was $3, but that was equivalent to the average full-day wage of a Mexican worker, and most tickets were sold over the course of six games, ranging from $9 to $650, which sparked criticism from FIFA and local organizers. In some stadiums, thousands of seat tickets are unsold.

THE TICKETS ALLOCATED BY FIFA FOR ENGLAND MATCHES SHOULD ENSURE THAT AROUND 16% OF THE TICKETS ARE RESERVED FOR ENGLAND FANS, WHICH IS EXPECTED TO BE BETWEEN 6,400 AND 12,800, depending on the size of the stadium. The other 33% of tickets are likely to be sold to the general market, with the remaining 33% set aside for FIFA delegates, hospitality, sponsors and the media.

The first sales window for the Qatar World Cup will open tomorrow, with a ticket window following the final draw on 1 April.
