According to the Russian satellite network reported on the 18th, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said after holding talks with Croatian Foreign Minister Radman that Ukraine is a marionette in the hands of the United States, and Washington is fully capable of forcing Kiev to abide by the Minsk agreement.

Lavrov said, "At present, Ukraine is under the control of the United States, there is no doubt about that. ”

In February 2015, the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France negotiated a new Minsk agreement on a settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine after nearly 17 hours of negotiations in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. When the agreement was first signed, public opinion was not optimistic about it, and some experts believed that there were many insurmountable obstacles in the terms of the agreement.

Since the signing of the agreement, sporadic conflicts have continued in most parts of eastern Ukraine. Russia has repeatedly accused Ukraine of failing to implement the Minsk agreements. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that Russia is concerned about the situation in eastern Ukraine and that Western countries have condoned Ukraine's violation of the Minsk agreement. Lavrov pointed out that although the Ukrainian government violated the Minsk ceasefire agreement previously reached by the two sides of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, western countries still support the Ukrainian government with unacceptable actions and statements. Lavrov called on Western countries to change their attitudes and demanded that Ukraine fully implement the Minsk agreement.
