On January 18, the United States Overseas Chinese News Network reported that on the first anniversary of the inauguration of US President Biden, THE CBS news and market research website YouGov conducted a poll on the satisfaction of the American people with the results of the authorities' epidemic prevention. The results show that respondents have a lower view of the current epidemic prevention than ever before.

According to the New York Times, the survey released on Sunday (16th) found that only 36% of respondents believe that the US response to the new crown epidemic is "going well" in its efforts. Only 49 percent of Americans support the president's measures, compared with 66 percent of respondents in the July 2021 poll.

Of those who supported the president's anti-epidemic policy, 78 percent identified themselves as liberals, while 83 percent of those who did not support the authorities' epidemic called themselves conservatives.

In biden's first year in office, the covid-19 vaccine was widespread, but at the same time, the Delta variant was threatening. Recently, Omicron has pushed the number of cases to a new high, overwhelming hospitals across the country.

With the U.S. Supreme Court vetoing a private-sector vaccine or COVID-19 testing injunction, the U.S. federal government's efforts to contain the spread of the outbreak have suffered a major setback. If the act goes into effect, more than 80 million U.S. business employees will be affected. But previously, the Supreme Court approved a decree requiring health care workers to be vaccinated by medical institutions that receive federal funding.

The Survey of 2,094 adult respondents between Jan. 12 and 14 found that 35 percent of Americans believe the authorities' policies are improving the outbreak, while 40 percent believe they make the situation worse. (End)
