In early 2015, the Police in Hongshan, Wuhan, received an alarm that Ms. Qiao, who had rushed to Wuhan from Shanxi, said that she had been defrauded of 5 million yuan in Zhuo Daoquan, Wuhan 4 years ago, hoping to get help from the police. Ms. Qiao also played drums in her heart, it has been so long, can the evidence of that year still be found? With the mentality of trying it out, she walked into the Zhuo Daoquan police station.

In the past 6 years, it has been difficult to collect evidence across 6 provinces, and the Wuhan police have relayed to detect a huge fraud case of 5 million yuan

The police analyze and judge the case

It is understood that Ms. Qiao was involved in project investment during the period, and the direction of remittance was complicated, was it an investment failure or a premeditated scam? After 6 consecutive years of unremitting efforts, The Hongshan police in Wuhan city made a major breakthrough in collecting evidence across 6 provinces, and finally, the 10-year-long fraud case was finally solved, and the two initiators were punished by law.

A contract moved her heart

Time back to 2011, the then 26-year-old Ms. Qiao was in love with Yang, Yang's brother Dayang learned that Ms. Qiao's family had strong financial resources, and often bragged about his steel business in front of Ms. Qiao.

In August of that year, Dayang invited Ms. Qiao and Xiao Yang to come to Wuhan for tourism, and by the way, they inspected the investment in the business district.

The group was not satisfied with many shops, and the night before they were preparing to return home, Dayang and partner Hong came to the hotel where Ms. Qiao lived to chat.

"That night, Dayang and Hong looked very strange, and they kept answering the phone in the southern Fujian dialect, looking sad." Ms. Qiao recalled the situation at that time.

After inquiry, the original steel business operated by Dayang has just received a large order from a state-owned enterprise, which is very profitable, but at present, the company's capital chain is tight and requires 5 million turnover. At the scene, Dayang made a request to Ms. Qiao to borrow money, promised to return the money within a month, and then took out an order contract.

After Ms. Qiao saw the original contract, she also felt that it was profitable, and promised on the spot that the two would find ways to raise money. Because her savings were less than one million, Ms. Qiao borrowed money from her brother-in-law and eventually transferred the 5 million yuan she had collected to Yang and Hong.

However, a month passed, and Lao Yang and Hong failed to repay the money on time. In the face of Ms. Qiao's urging, the two were able to contact at first, and then completely disappeared. Soon after, she and her boyfriend Xiao Yang also broke up.

All along, Ms. Qiao always believed that Yang and Hong borrowed money and did not repay it, as long as they could find them, they would definitely be able to recover the money, and since then she has repeatedly gone to their hometown in Fujian to look for people, but there has been no progress.

Borrowed chickens to lay laying chickens but ran away

For Dayang, with a huge amount of 5 million yuan, it is certain that it can become a "bicycle" into a "motorcycle", but it is a bit of a creation, expecting to borrow chickens to lay eggs, but the chickens are taken away by others, and finally end up with chickens flying eggs.

In 2015, according to the steel order contract provided by Ms. Qiao, the Hongshan police Liu Wei and Zhao Suoping successively went to Nanjing and Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, to find Party A in the contract, and it was determined that the contract was forged. At this point, Ms. Qiao realized that this was a complete scam.

In the subsequent investigation, the police found that Dayang and Hong were as difficult to find as if they had evaporated in the human world.

During the period, every year around the Lantern Festival and the Dragon Boat Festival, the police had to go to Yang and Hong's hometown in Fujian to inquire about the whereabouts, and through several years of unremitting efforts, the police finally learned of Dayang's whereabouts and arrested Dayang in Fujian at the end of 2018.

In the past 6 years, it has been difficult to collect evidence across 6 provinces, and the Wuhan police have relayed to detect a huge fraud case of 5 million yuan

The police repeatedly checked the case file

"At that time, the steel sales contract was forged by me and Hong Mou, and we did not receive a big order at all, but just wanted to get a sum of money to speculate, maybe it would be overturned." Dayang confessed.

It turned out that he and Hong saw that a speculative project in Henan was profitable, but suffering from lack of funds, they started Ms. Qiao's idea.

"She certainly wasn't going to raise money for a speculative project, so we came up with a way to make up a fraudulent contract."

That night, Dayang and Hong performed "Double Reed" in the hotel. However, after the failure of the speculative project, they lost their money, and Dayang and Hong also shot and scattered.

In 2019, Dayang was sentenced to 15 years in prison and fined 150,000 yuan.

Twenty thousand steps a day in the north of the South China Sea

Dayang has been sentenced, but Hong is still missing, time is passing, the police liu wei and Jiang Peng, who handled the case, can not let go of this knot, until one day in December 2019, a clue caught Liu Wei's attention, there is a trace of Hong near a community on Minquan Road in Jianghan District, and they could not eat and went straight to the community to finally arrest Hong.

"Over the years, I have lived in simplicity, and I dare not use online banking, let alone take the train and plane, and finally I can't escape." Hong sighed.

However, after Hong arrived at the case, he always refused to admit the facts of the crime, only admitting that he received a sum of money with his own bank card and transferred it out, and he did not know about other links.

Because the time span is too long, many clues in that year are difficult to verify, and the police handling the case believe that in order to prove that Hong was involved in fraud, it is necessary to collect evidence from the parties who participated in the 5 million speculative business that year, but the parties have been scattered throughout the country at this time, which is undoubtedly an extremely difficult job.

Dayang once confessed that 1.4 million of the 5 million was transferred to his own account, and the remaining 3.6 million was transferred to Hong's account, which they had long discussed.

In the face of difficulties, the police handling the case did not flinch, and after a lot of work, obtained the key testimony of many parties, including Ms. Qiao and her brother-in-law, and the intermediary of the investment project.

In Zhengzhou, Henan Province, the police found a construction group that Yang and Hong had participated in speculation in that year, and learned through investigation that their investment behavior was related to their subordinate branches. During the period, police officers Liu Wei and Jiang Peng traveled all over Zhengzhou and Anyang in Henan, Taiyuan, Pingyao, Shijiazhuang in Hebei and other places in Shanxi, and finally found Huang Mou, a salesman who witnessed the transfer in Xi'an, Shaanxi.

On those business trips, they both averaged more than 20,000 steps a day, and the WeChat movement often dominated the list.

At that time, the epidemic situation was improving, and Wuhan was unsealed. Liu Wei and Jiang Peng began to travel everywhere to look for witnesses, to find people in the village, and the minibus sat for more than 5 hours; some witnesses did not want to come forward, so they squatted on the side of the road and nibbled on the burnt cake and waited for him. Once, after the two contacted the witness, they rushed to Shijiazhuang, and in order to cooperate with the local epidemic prevention work, they could only contact the witness to borrow the police office of the railway station to take notes.

"For this case, we ran from north to south, and one of the witnesses had promised to wait for us in Pingyao, Shanxi, but ran over but pounced, and the people went to Quanzhou again, and we chased quanzhou that night, from minus 11 degrees in Shanxi to 20 degrees in Quanzhou, which was very sour." Jiang Peng recalled with a bitter smile.

According to the recollection of Huang Mou, a salesman of the construction company at that time, on August 6, 2011, Dayang and Hong came to Xi'an, transferred a total of 5 million yuan from their respective bank cards to the company's account, and determined the proportion of their respective interest distribution.

According to the results of the investigation, it can be fully proved that in the process of the occurrence of the crime and the circulation of stolen funds, the suspect Hong Mou was all present and personally involved. In the face of the evidence, Hong had no way back and finally admitted the illegal facts of that year.

"At that time, I was also a ghost fan, wanting to make a fortune with this 5 million, in order to hide debts, these years have also been quite embarrassing." Hong mou confessed.

In the end, Hong was arrested according to law and successfully prosecuted. In September 2021, the court sentenced Hong to 14 years in prison for fraud.
