The film then transitions to the story of several female soldiers, Rita is a simple and kind girl, very eager for love, she has a crush on the lieutenant.
As a minor, Carrie grew up in an orphanage, and when the war broke out, she concocted lies about her mother's sacrifice and enlisted in the army.
Sergeant Lida, who joined the army with a national vendetta. Her military husband was honorably killed in the war when he was hit by a German bomb in order to protect others.
Sonia, a highly qualified student at Moscow University, interrupted her studies by a sudden outbreak of war, and with her boyfriend killed on the battlefield, she volunteered to join the army. And Kaya, who joined halfway through, her family of seven died in the war.
Because of the forbidden love affair with the married colonel, he was punished and arranged to the military station.
The forest blockade battle in the film is focused on the treatment, when Lida found two German paratroopers, went back to report to the warrant officer, and after the group discussed the plan, finally decided to lead 5 female soldiers to form a small team to search for the blockade.
However, when they set up their positions to capture the Germans, they found that the other side was not two people at all, but a reconnaissance team of sixteen people, and what followed was a blockade battle with a huge disparity in strength.
The warrant officer immediately made a temporary plan for the blockade, and he first arranged for Rita to return to the station and inform the colonel to apply for reinforcements. In order to confuse the enemy and stop the advance, they first pretended to be lumberjacks and deliberately lured the enemy to find him.
Under the muzzle of the German guns tens of meters, Kaya was wearing underwear, singing Katyusha jumping into the lake to swim, shouting the name of the fictional lover.
Seeing that Kaya was about to cramp from nervousness, the warrant officer pulled her up in time. Because the Germans could not judge the identity of the other side, they temporarily stopped moving forward and found a place to rest first.
On the other side, Rita was crossing the muddy swamp and returning to the station as fast as she could.
The warrant officer and four female soldiers planned a sneak attack overnight, ready to wipe out the enemy. However, Sonia, because she wanted to help the warrant officer with tobacco leaves, was stabbed to death by the Sentry Germans on the way back.
Without any advantage, the warrant officer chose to take the initiative and had to kill the two scouts in front of him.
With Kaya's cooperation, the warrant officer jumped down the mountainside and killed a German soldier with a fatal knife.
However, he was knocked to the ground by another German army, and he could not withstand the brute force of the other side, which put his life in danger. Fortunately, Kaya hit the back door of the enemy's head with the butt of his rifle, saving the warrant officer's life.
Before they could mourn Sonia, the squad packed up their equipment and set out to continue their mission to destroy the enemy. It didn't take long for a head-on confrontation with the Germans.
Several female soldiers had never even touched a gun before, but in their most beautiful years, they resolutely threw themselves into the cruel war.
However, the enemy's strength is far more brutal than they thought, and these beautiful female warriors have to repeatedly deal with the enemy in the forest.
After being temporarily repulsed, the Germans hid in the dense forest, which also meant that the squad had to continue to pursue. In order to protect the youngest Carrie, the warrant officer took her with him on a mission.
Not only did the orphan not hold a gun, but she even exposed her hiding place because of stage fright. Until she was killed by the enemy, the last thing she shouted was "Mommy."
Next, the warrant officer was completely exposed to the enemy's eyes, and six Germans with machine guns swept in pursuit of him. After running for a while, the warrant officer was physically exhausted and was hit in the arm by the Germans.
Leaning against a pistol, he hid in a swamp full of fog. After the Germans left, the exhausted men dared to climb to the shore to catch their breath.
The next morning, when the warrant officer woke up, he saw the female soldiers' uniforms in the swamp. It turned out that Rita was on her way back to the garrison and was unfortunately ruthlessly engulfed by the swamp.
Seeing several female soldiers die one after another, the warrant officer curled up in pain, reflecting on himself in a deep sense of self-blame. When he met Rita and Kaya again, he hugged them and said excitedly, I am not a warrant officer, I am your brother."

By the time the warrant officer found Lida, the woman was dying. While the warrant officer bandaged her wounds, the Germans were quietly encircling them. At this time, Kaya took the initiative to show up to lure away the German army in order to cover his comrades.
It didn't take long for her to run out of bullets. Just as she was forced to the edge of the cliff by the enemy, the woman defied the muzzle of the black pressure, allowing countless bullets to strafe, and Kaya did not blink until her dead eyes.
After Lida was seriously injured, she did not shed a single tear.
The woman begged the warrant officer to give her a kiss before she died, and to help take care of her children. In order not to die at the enemy's guns, Lida chose to shoot herself.

Although "Here the Dawn Is Quiet" is a typical Soviet main theme film, what director Stanislav Rostocki did was not to blindly praise the greatness of the Great Patriotic War, but to use people as a starting point, showing the cruelty of war and deep love for the motherland.
In this film, the director not only uses illusory color pictures to show the beauty and happiness that female warriors should have, but also uses cold black and white pictures to show the war life faced by female soldiers, and the death that accompanies the war in this way has become the best indictment of war in the film.
