Thinking back to the night before the grass-roots company, I fantasized about the future days and the various scenes of the comrades-in-arms who were full of morale and spirit, and I was full of expectations for grass-roots life.
Maybe I was young and vigorous, and my desire to make a career was too urgent; or as a newcomer, I had not really integrated into the company work, and I could not help but look above the top and be impetuous. The freshness of the company didn't last long. Pulling grass, standing guard, on duty... It seems that there will always be unfinished courses, unfinished courses, and unfinished tasks. This made me, who was originally full of expectations for grassroots work, gradually feel "boring and boring", and I felt "powerless" about the road to be taken next.
After descending to the grass-roots company, we participated in the pre-job training of graduating cadets held at the base. At that time, the training leader said to us in a serious tone: "From the campus to the grassroots, from the trainees to the platoon leader, there will definitely be a process of transformation and adaptation in the middle." Some comrades adapt quickly, while others remain confused. I hope that everyone will stick to their original intentions and live up to expectations! A word awakens the dreamer. Coming to a new environment, taking up a new post, and facing new problems, "even if the body is tired and the heart is confused, the direction of progress cannot be changed, the steps under the feet cannot be stopped, and the flame in the heart cannot be extinguished." When the mountain flowers were full of flowers, she laughed in the bushes. "This is what I wrote down at the time.
I am also reminded of a saying in the TV series "Soldier Assault", "Glory lies in blandness, and arduousness lies in length." Not only adhere to the original intention, persist in moving forward, but also feel extraordinary in the ordinary, and explore the value flash point on the way forward. The transformation of ideology and understanding originated from a 100-kilometer hike. On that occasion, as the head of the echelon guard group, my task was to give the whole battalion a "bottom". On the way to training, there will always be two or three fighters who can't keep up with the big team and gradually fall behind. Especially the next day, the last five kilometers of the rapid march, six soldiers directly could not keep up with the team. At that time, I was also foaming at the soles of my feet, and the pain was unbearable. But with the duty at hand, I had to take them forward as fast as possible.
Along the way, in the pain and fatigue and persistence, I suddenly became enlightened and understood the meaning represented by the "stars" on my shoulders. The first lesson of becoming a good platoon leader is not to leave a soldier behind. In the past, in school, I was a student, thinking about how to master more skills and improve my personal ability every day. And now that I have entered the grassroots company and become a soldier, I have to consider not only personal growth, but also lead my comrades to progress together.
"People are the same as missiles, as long as they find the 'catapult point' and give it a 'ignition' password, it can fly." I once read an article about it. At the age of 18, I envisioned camouflage youth and threw myself into the military camp without hesitation; at the age of 22, I shouted about making meritorious achievements and committing to strengthening the army and taking root in the grassroots. On the road to becoming an excellent grassroots officer, we not only need a "catapult point", ideological understanding still needs to be improved and sublimated, and quality and ability must still be tempered and consolidated, but as long as we firmly believe that we can reach the end, always keep the sun in mind, and maintain the original dream, we will certainly be able to see flowers full of flowers.
