Serbian President Vucic said that the Chukalu Peggy Copper-Gold Mine is a new modern mine built in accordance with environmental standards, and its formal operation will not only bring considerable profits to enterprises, bring cleaner air to the residents of Bor City, but also drive the development of the entire eastern region of Serbia.
Vucic said that since Chinese companies invested, the average wage in Bor has increased by 55%, exceeding the Serbian average. At present, two of the top three export enterprises in Serbia are Chinese enterprises, making great contributions to serbia's economic development. Serbia is willing to establish the closest relations with China, further confirming the enduring friendship between the two countries.
Chen Bo, Chinese ambassador to Serbia, said that the Chukalu Peggy copper-gold mine was built according to the "green mine" standard, adding more than 500 jobs to the local area, and Serbia will become the second largest copper producer in Europe.
