In recent years, more than 40 children with complex congenital heart disease have been diagnosed and treated early; more than 160 children with developmental hip dysplasia have avoided the occurrence of disability after adulthood of hip dysplasia.

A 14-year-old girl, because of abdominal pain to the Municipal Maternal and Child Health Hospital for treatment, Liu Fang gave her an ultrasound, keenly found that the girl's congenital reproductive system development abnormalities - double uterine deformity and vaginal septum, one side has a uterine effusion. After the diagnosis is confirmed, the child's surgical treatment and later intervention will not affect future fertility.

"We advocate that women regularly check their bodies from childhood, adolescence, fertility, middle age to old age, and detect hidden dangers in advance." Liu Fang said. To this end, she led the team to continuously innovate and carried out the "Precocious Puberty Assessment Project", which intervened in advance by examining possible abnormalities in the reproductive and related systems of underage girls; carried out "three-dimensional volume imaging of the uterine cavity" for women of childbearing age, and early detection of female uterine cavity adhesions and uterine lesions; carried out "endometrial tolerance assessment" to better predict women's fertility function for symptomatic intervention; carried out "breast tumor elastography" to better diagnose the benign and malignant nature of tumors; and carried out placenta previa scores. Quantifying the degree of placenta previa implantation, in recent years, placental implant patients in hospital obstetrics have received a definitive diagnosis by ultrasound before deliverance, thus helping to clinically reduce the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage in pregnant women...

The "probe" extends to the outside of the province and city, and the academic level of the department has steadily improved

In 2021, in the Young Physicians Forum Competition organized by the Xiangtan Ultrasound Professional Committee, Zhang Ling of the Functional Department of the Municipal Maternal and Child Health Hospital won the first prize and Wu Juan won the third prize.
