The American director Wes Anderson, known for his unique color style and symmetrical centering aesthetic.
Through his films "The Grand Budapest Hotel" and "Isle of Dogs", he has made a deep visual impression.
Fans who have seen Wes Anderson's film "Crossing Darjeeling" know that he himself has a fondness for the beauty and excitement of train travel.
The three brothers in the film meet in India and take part in a luxury train journey that sparks a chain of stories.
Wes Anderson's love of trains was also favored by The Belmond British Pullman, Britain's top train, and invited him to recreate the Cygnus carriages!

Documentation of design details
As one of the most luxurious trains in the world, pullman trains consist of 11 carriages, each with a different name origin.
Built in the 1950s, Cygnus has hosted royalty and politicians in the past, lived through the bombardment of World War II, and appeared in many movie scenes.
Wes Anderson's mission is to balance the history of Cygnus and integrate its own aesthetic concepts and modern visions.
He created the carriage into a space that resembled a cinematic scene, with the interior of the carriage ceiling embedded with pink-wax panels, perfectly located in the center of the ceiling, contrasting with the different shades of green printed carpets and seats.
The shape of the chair and mirror uses bold, sharp lines, which are fully in line with his own pursuit of angular balance.
The walls of the carriage are inlaid with numerous wood panels showing patterns of sunlight, clouds, stars and waves, as well as many details related to swans, echoing the name and history of the cygnus.
He said he often had the opportunity to create scenes of train cars in movies, so he was eager to create something new.
Involved in the preservation of all the classic Pullman train plans, he said: "They keep something special alive, it's a dying but perfect way of traveling for our time."
There are two kinds of seating areas: private quads in groups of two and open seating areas, and visitors have the opportunity to ride on Cygnus as long as they participate in any journey on the Pullman train.
Enjoy a unique train journey and the golden age of travel amid the rumble of the train, while admiring the beautiful modern design inside the carriages.
In fact, for Wes Anderson, designing these train cars was not laborious, and as early as 2015, he personally designed a coffee shop for the well-known luxury brand PRADA.

It feels like in a film from the fifties, recalling the iconic design of milan's design palaces of that era.
At the same time, the Cygnus carriage he worked on for the Pullman train this time feels very similar to the works that GUCCI will like in recent years, judging from the color scheme and style.

I wonder if GUCCI Director Alessandro Michele would be interested in inviting Wes Anderson to "co-brand" some trendy pieces or interesting pop-up stores?
Really looking forward to it

Then again, the Wes Anderson-designed train, which you can book for a future ride, can also be found on the BELMOND website for £400 (with meals) and for a 4-person box for £1,800 (with meals).
A small partner who is in the UK or you are planning a trip must go to the opportunity to take a ride to feel it!
