"Empty House"

The bhikkhu's speech was full of wisdom and dexterity, and King Miranda respected him very much. One day, King Miranda said to the bhikkhus, "Are your eyes, ears, nose, and tongue your own?"

The monk smiled and replied, "None of them."

King Miranda then asked: Then the real you are only the body, or is the "mind" the real you?

The monk still smiled and replied, "Neither."

King Miranda wondered, "Then where are you?" The monk smiled and asked, "Are windows, doors, tiles, bricks, chairs, and beams and columns all houses?"

King Miranda was stunned for a moment and replied, "Neither."

The monk asked leisurely, "Then where is the house?"

King Miranda suddenly realized!
