The precision optics of Maolai Optics have the characteristics of ultra-high surface type, ultra-high finish and high-performance coating index, including precision optical lenses, prisms, multi-spectral filters and fluorescent filters, space mirrors, etc., and have been successfully applied to semiconductor equipment (including lithography machines, optical detection and packaging, etc.), high-resolution satellites, lunar exploration projects, civil aviation aircraft and other national strategic technology development projects.

High-end optical lenses have the technical characteristics of ultra-high precision, high resolution and high-quality imaging quality, including large field of view and large numerical aperture microscopic objective lens series, 2D/3D shape machine vision lens, ultra-weather-resistant imaging lens and special spectral monitoring lens, which are widely used in semiconductor inspection systems, 3D scanning, photoelectric sensing, aerospace monitoring and lidar and other scientific and technological applications.

Advanced optical systems mainly include high-throughput and high-sensitivity molecular diagnostic optical systems, high-precision and rapid semiconductor manufacturing process defect detection optical systems, customized optical test systems for 5G wearable smart devices, biometric identification terminal instruments, etc., covering the design, assembly and testing of optical modules in major scientific and technological frontier application fields, providing solutions for optical mechatronic integration.

At present, Maolai Optics has built three major business segments of precision optics, high-end optical lenses and advanced optical systems, and its core customers cover Advanced Equipment Manufacturers at home and abroad such as Beijing Institute of Space Electromechanical Research, Shanghai Microelectronics, Google's parent company Alphabet's autonomous driving platform, Microsoft, Facebook, ALIGN, IDEMIA, AND CYBEROPTICSCO.

In terms of performance, from 2017 to 2019, Maolai Optics achieved operating income of 152.0158 million yuan, 183.7714 million yuan and 221.8964 million yuan, respectively, with a compound growth rate of 20.82%. Among them, the overseas sales revenue was 106.8708 million yuan, 128.5956 million yuan and 154.6619 million yuan, accounting for 70.30%, 69.98% and 69.70% of the operating income, respectively, and the proportion of overseas sales revenue was relatively high.

It is worth mentioning that on August 7, 2020, the Shanghai Stock Exchange accepted the application documents for Maolai Optics' initial public offering of shares and listing on the Science and Technology Innovation Board. During the review period, Maolai Optics applied to the SSE on July 16, 2021 to withdraw the application documents because the science and technology innovation attribute indicators no longer met the conditions for the compound growth rate of revenue of more than 20%, and failed to apply the exceptions stipulated in Article 6 of the Interim Provisions on the Declaration of the Science and Technology Innovation Board.
