According to Turkish media Daily Sabah, Pjanic does not want to return to Barca after the expiry of his lease, he hopes to play in Besiktas for another year.
Pjanic had few chances under Koeman last season, and last summer Barca decided to loan him out, eventually going to Besiktas, who took on a portion of Pjanic's salary, about 2.75 million euros.
Pjanic, whose contract with Barca expires in 2024, has regained his form at Besiktas, making 18 appearances so far this season, including 16 starts. Daily Sabah said Pjanic did not want to return to Barca after this summer's lease expired, he wanted to play for another year at Besiktas.
It is understood that this lease contract does not contain a buyout clause, which means that the parties need to negotiate again on the renewal of the lease.
Besiktas has previously expressed interest in renewing the Bosnian midfielder's loan, and club president Sebi admitted months ago that they were studying the possibility of buying out Pjanic, but only if the deal was within the club's budget.
