Before liberation, bandits ran rampant in the northeast region, and they wandered between the white mountains and black waters, robbing homes and houses, and harming one side. Zhang Zuolin, the king of the northeast during the Republic of China, was once the biggest bandit leader in the northeast.
Although the northeast is plagued by bandits and once ran rampant in the countryside, few people associate women with bandits. However, during the Republic of China period, there was a female bandit leader in the northeast, her name was Zhang Suzhen, and her life was full of legends. Zhang Suzhen was 22 years old and became a female bandit leader.

Zhang Suzhen was born in 1901 to an ordinary family in Liaoyang. When she was young, her mother died tragically, and she has been dependent on her father since she was a child.
Due to the chaotic situation, Zhang Suzhen was accidentally tricked into a brothel in Changchun at the age of 16. Later, Zhang Suzhen met the bandit leader Wang Futang, and the two fell in love. So Wang Futang quickly ransomed Zhang Suzhen from the brothel and brought her back to the cottage, and then Zhang Suzhen became the lady of the village.
In the mountains, Zhang Suzhen learned to shoot on horseback, was very courageous, and soon became a female bandit, known as a camel dragon. Zhang Suzhen often took thousands of bandits down the mountain alone and became a well-known female bandit.
However, in 1923, when her husband Wang Futang took the bandits down the mountain and went to Dehui to rob the house, he was attacked by the government inside and outside, and Wang Futang was seriously injured and unfortunately died in Dehui.
Since then, Zhang Suzhen has become a big boss. Because Zhang Suzhen is good at using double guns, she is also known as a double-gun camel dragon. After her husband's death, Zhang Suzhen vowed to avenge her husband. Although Zhang Suzhen is a female bandit leader, she is also a very righteous person. She had decreed that her men must not rob the common people of their belongings.
Soon after, Zhang Suzhen's men and horses soon grew to two or three thousand. This made Li Du, the commander of the Changchun garrison, very panicked, so Li Du mobilized troops to surround and suppress it, and Zhang Suzhen and his gang were quickly suppressed. In a panic, Zhang Suzhen fled to a brothel.
So Zhang Suzhen hid her identity and started her old business. After Li Du received the news, he hurriedly dispatched one of his company commanders to infiltrate the brothel disguised as a prostitute, and quickly captured Zhang Suzhen.
Although Zhang Suzhen is a bandit, her posture is quite charming. It is said that zhang Xueliang at that time wanted to rescue him after learning about it. However, the commander of the garrison, Li Du, feared that Zhang Suzhen would seek revenge on himself in the future after being rescued, so he quickly killed him.
Because Zhang Suzhen only robbed the local tycoons and inferior gentry on weekdays, he did not commit crimes against the common people. Therefore, when Zhang Suzhen was killed on the fifteenth day of the first month in 1925, many ordinary people spontaneously came to see her off. Zhang Suzhen shouted loudly before he died: Come on, I am not afraid of death!
