According to the "Blue Book of Geriatric Health: Research Report on The Health of the Elderly in China (2018)", jointly released by the China Geriatric Health Care Association and the Social Science Literature Publishing House, stroke, malignant tumors and ischemic heart disease rank among the top three health problems of the elderly in China.
It is also reported that the disabled and semi-disabled elderly in China have reached 42 million, and there are about 15 million elderly dementia patients aged 60 and above, while the disability and alzheimer's disease are mostly caused by chronic diseases.
The rapid development of aging and the continuous occurrence of geriatric diseases not only seriously affect the quality of life of patients themselves for a long time, but also bring heavy medical and care burdens to families and society; especially empty nest elderly people, it is easy to fall into the dilemma of illness and cannot get timely treatment and rehabilitation.
