Adenoid hypertrophy is a chronic proliferative inflammation of the adenoids, which enlarge with each episode of nasopharyngitis. In recent years, the incidence of such diseases has increased year by year, and it is one of the common pediatric diseases.

Tonsillar hypertrophy can be caused by a variety of causes, such as local or adjacent inflammation, long-term stimulation of nasal purulent discharge, allergic reactions, overnutrition, eating disorders, etc., or it may be a large tonsilla at birth, eventually leading to tonsillar hypertrophy.
