According to previous reports, veteran Mario Chalmers signed a contract with the Heat Development League affiliate Tianli.
Today Chalmers made his development league debut, scoring 16 points.
After the game, Chalmers gave an interview to the media, talking about his previous ten-day contract with the Heat and his chances to play in the development league, Chalmers said, "I guess this [signed the development league] was prepared for me by the Heat after the 10-day contract, I had never heard of it before." Then on the day the contract ended they called me and told me they were going to sign for Tianli. They know I want to keep playing, and everybody knows I want to keep playing, so I think that's the best option for me. ”
