Gongzhuling City belongs to Siping City, Jilin Province. Gongzhuling City is located in the central and western part of Jilin Province, on the right bank of the middle reaches of the Dongliao River. The easternmost starting point is Liu Xiaowobao Village in Xiangshui Town, the westernmost end is Weizizi Village in Sangshutai Town, the southernmost starting point is Erlong Village and Jianshe Village in Longshan Township, and the northernmost end is Baoziyan Village in Manao Village, Shuangcheng Town.
Gongzhuling City
The city is 106 km wide from east to west and 111 km wide from north to south. It is connected to Yitong Manchu Autonomous County to the south and southeast, Chaoyang District and Nong'an County of Changchun City to the east and northeast, Changling County to the north, Shuangliao City to the west, and Lishu County to the east across the Liaohe River. The city is vast in size, wide in the north and narrow in the south, like a crescent moon on the banks of the Dongliao River. We know that there are several princess tombs in the downtown area of Beijing, all related to princesses of the Qing Dynasty. So is Gongzhuling related to the princesses of the Qing Dynasty?
Gu Lun and Jing Princess
The princess's name is Guren and Princess Jing. She was the third daughter and second direct daughter of the Qianlong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty. Her mother was very familiar with Empress Fucha. The popular TV series "Yanxi Raiders", "Ruyi Zhuan" and "Zhen Huan Biography" all have stories about Empress Fucha. The Qianlong Emperor was very fond of Empress Fucha. Unfortunately, Empress Fucha died young at the age of 36.
On June 28, 1731, Princess Gulun and Jing were born. The Qianlong Emperor and Empress Fucha regarded them as pearls in their palms and pampered her in various ways. Gu Lun and Princess Jing grew up and reached the age of marriage. The Qianlong Emperor personally searched for her son-in-law. After repeated selections, the Qianlong Emperor chose the Mongolian nobleman Sebuteng Balejul.
Sebuteng Balejul was the great-grandson of Prince Zasakda Khan Manju, the left-wing banner of Korqin. He lived in the palace since he was a child, learning and practicing martial arts with the princes. In the eyes of the Qianlong Emperor, he was always regarded as half a son. Now, it was most appropriate to choose Sebutembarejul as his son-in-law.
Sebutembalejul
In March 1747, Gu Lun and Princess Jing married. In the past, when a princess married a Mongolian nobleman, she would live in Mongolia with her husband. This time, the Qianlong Emperor broke with the convention and built a princess mansion in the capital for husband and wife to live in. The Princess House is grand in scale, with 239 rooms and costing more than 29,880 taels of silver. At the time of their marriage, the Qianlong Emperor rewarded a large amount of gold, silver, and jewelry, far exceeding the specifications stipulated by the Qing Dynasty.
Although Gu Lun and Princess Jing were married, the Qianlong Emperor arranged accommodation for the princess in the Yuanmingyuan and often took her back. The Qianlong Emperor went to the Chengde Mountain Resort almost every year. Every time he went, the Qianlong Emperor would call Gu Lun and Princess Jing to accompany him.
In 1757, during the war to pacify Dzungar, Amir Sana rebelled due to the connivance of Sebutem Barjur. Under Qing law, Sebuteng Baljul would be beheaded. Noble, a university scholar and military minister of wuying halls, interceded for him: "I hope that the emperor and empress Fucha will not let the princess be widowed." The Qianlong Emperor immediately pardoned Thebuteng Barjur's death.
In 1775, when Sebuteng Baljul went to Jinchuan, Sichuan, he died of illness at the Jinchuan military camp. Later, Princess Gulun and Princess Jing lived alone for 17 years, and also died of illness in 1792 at the age of 61. The bodies of Princess Gulun and Princess Jing were buried near the town of Dongba on the eastern outskirts of the capital, along with Sebuteng Baljur.
At that time, for various reasons, the Sebuteng Balejul family buried the clothes of Princess Gulun and Jing on her territory, called the "Princess Mausoleum". The Princess Mausoleum is located on a ridge 5 km north of Gongzhuling City. Tuling has nine peaks, known as the "Nine Phoenix Chaoyang". The Princess Mausoleum is located at the foot of the highest middle peak.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Tsarist Russia built the Middle East Railway. The Middle East Railway passes through the Princess Mausoleum, where a station is set up called "Three Stations". After the "918" incident in 1931, Japan occupied the three eastern provinces, controlled the Middle East Railway, and changed the "three stations" to "Princess Mausoleum". The Japanese considered the word "ling" to be unlucky, so they changed it to "ling". Since then, the "Princess Mausoleum" has changed to "Princess Ridge".
The city has abundant resources for development. Located in the Basin of the Songliao Plain, there are many rivers and sufficient mineral resources, forming an industrial park dominated by energy and mineral resources. The city's geographical location is superior, and the transportation construction is perfect. After approval, it also enjoys preferential treatment as an international export city, forming a comprehensive transportation network based on railway and road transportation. Erlong Lake Scenic Area is rich in historical and cultural relics and beautiful scenery. After years of development, it has won a number of national titles.
