Mission Impossible 2 is a Hollywood action-adventure film directed by Hong Kong director Woo Woo Yu-sen, based on the 1960s series of the same name, the second episode of the Mission Impossible series produced by Paramount Pictures, starring Tom Cruise, Dogre Scott, Sandy Newton, Richard Roussburg, John Poulson, Bleddam Gleason, Rad Shebodzga, and Vin Remus. The film was released in the United States on May 24, 2000.
The IMF is an unofficial organization under the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and this time the IMF wants to solve the ongoing virus crisis.
Virus scientist Nekovic (Red Shebigia) asks IMF agent Ethan (Tom Cruise) for help in order not to let his research be used by people with a heart, but he is killed by IMF member Sean (Doug Grey Scott), who impersonates Ethan, and the drug "Burello" is also taken away, while the real Ethan is on vacation in another part of the world.
The IMF gave Ethan a task to snatch back the virus and the antidote — to stop Sean from spreading the virus and causing a pandemic. It turned out that Nekovic worked for a pharmaceutical factory and invented a virus called "Chimera", which was the antidote to "Burello".
The drug store owner McIlroy (Brandon Grimson) wants to release the "Chimera" in order to make money, and Nekovich injects the "Chimera" into his body and takes the "Bellero" to escape in order to stop him.
Knowing mcLoy's plan, Sean also wants a piece of the pie, so he kills Nekovich and steals "Burello", but "Burello" alone is useless, so he must steal the "Chimera" so that the virus can spread.
The IMF assigns ethan members this time, in addition to colleagues Billy (John Bosson) and Luther (Vin Remus), and adds a goddess to steal Naia (Tandy Newton). It turns out that Naia is Sean's former lover, and the IMF plans to let Naia return to Sean to listen to the news, but such a plan cannot hide from the shrewd Sean.
When Ethan learned that Sean was going to steal the "Chimera", he arrived at the laboratory of the drug factory first and destroyed most of the virus, but then Sean and his men used powerful firepower to suppress Ethan until he could not kill it at all, Naia saw that the situation was not right, and simply injected the only undefeated virus into his body so that Sean did not dare to kill her, although Sean was angry, but there was nothing he could do.
At this point, Ethan decides to hold on to his desperate resolve and do his best to stop Sean's plot. After a series of fierce battles, he finally annihilated Sean and his men, and saved Naiya's life in time.
In general, this film is still good, the plot is relatively compact, and the picture is also beautiful, which is to show the characteristics of Wu Yusen.
