Musk wrote in his tweet that Tesla's merchandise can be purchased using Dogecoin. After the news broke, the price of Dogecoin rose to $0.20.

However, the things that Dogecoin can buy are limited to some specific items in the Tesla store, such as giga Texas belt buckle originally sold for $150 to 835 Dogecoin, baby car Cyberquad originally sold for $1900 to $12020 Dogecoin, and water cup changed from $50 to $150 Dogecoin.

Tesla reminds customers who plan to pay in cryptocurrency that a fee is charged each time they pay with Dogecoin, and the customer is responsible for any fees associated with Dogecoin transactions. All items purchased with Dogecoin are final and items paid for with Dogecoin cannot be returned, exchanged or cancelled.

After supporting Bitcoin, Tesla CEO Elon Musk now supports the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, and some netizens even call him the "father of dogs".

Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency invented by software engineers Billy Marcus and Jackson Palmer who decided to create a payment system that is understood to have mined nearly 113 billion coins.

Musk earlier confirmed that the company is "most likely" to resume accepting bitcoin payments after due diligence on the energy mix used to mine cryptocurrencies.

Musk said it wants more due diligence to confirm that the percentage of renewable energy used is likely to reach or exceed 50 percent, and there is a trend to increase that number, and if so, Tesla will resume accepting Bitcoin payments.

Musk has confirmed that in addition to Tesla's investment, he has made a substantial personal investment in Bitcoin, and he also holds a small amount of Ether and Dogecoin.
