God is God – Phil Ivey's five-handed god reading card

Many poker fans and players believe that Phil Ivey at his best is G.O.A.T. Ivey has an extraordinary ability to squeeze chips out of opponents regardless of their skill level, and can sniff out dangers like great white sharks, detecting the smell of a drop of blood in miles of ocean.

We've collected five hands, and in those five hands you can feel Ivey's incredible reading ability:

Ivey vs. Daniel Negreanu

God is God – Phil Ivey's five-handed god reading card

In this hand, Ivey raised 96 to 70,000 at the button bit and Daniel Negreanu called with A4. After the flop 3QQ was issued, Dan Niu passed the card, Ivey decided to test the waters, betting 60,000, Dan Niu crossed the card - raised to 160,000, Ivey quickly called.

The turn is 6, DanNiu crosses again, Ivey places a bet of 225,000, and Danniu calls. The last public card dropped an 8, Danniu crossed the card for the third time, and Ivey fired a bet of 400,000. Danniu finally decided to call!

3

Ivey vs. Mike McDonald

God is God – Phil Ivey's five-handed god reading card

Ily's opponent in this hand is Mike McDonald, who is also not afraid to bet and fold at critical times. Flip forward Ivey with a minimum of 99 to 16,000, and McDonald snish with KQ.

The flop issued J10J and McDonald listened to both ends of the pitch. Ivey overplayed, McDonald placed 25,000, Ivey overplayed- called. Turning the cards to Q, Ivey took the initiative and bet 60,000, McDonald used his signature "gaze", and after a long time decided to abandon the top pair.

2

God is God – Phil Ivey's five-handed god reading card

This hand Danniu raised to 90,000 with a 96 open pool and Ivey called with Q7. The flop issued 8JQ, Danniu placed a bet of 125,000, and Ivey directly played 870,000 backhands, forcing Danniu to fold directly. This step is really dangerous, there are multiple cards on the deck, Ivey only has a top pair and a weak heel, but he knows how he is in this hand.

1

Ivey vs. Doug Polk

God is God – Phil Ivey's five-handed god reading card

This hand is arguably one of Ivey's best reads. This hand comes from Ivey's 2015 Australian Millions tournament against Doug Polk. Polk raised the A4 to 55,000 and Ivey called with 109. The flop was sent out 3102 and Ivey hit the top pair, but Plk had an A and Straights listen card.

Ivey quickly crossed the cards, and Polk followed suits. The turn issues 2, Ivey bets 75,000, Polk calls. River scored 6 and Ivey kept the lead, placing a bet of 200,000 into the pot of 284,000. Ivey used this large size bet to play a bluff, because he knew that Pok would probably call with A Hi. However, Polk was raised to 580,000.

"I'm not going to bet 200,000, I'm trying to bet 175,000," Ivey said as he stared at Plk. Ivey thought for a few minutes, ready to bet, but hesitated to push the chips into the pot. In the end, he decided to call and took the huge pot from Pok.
