"Burning Expedition" Phase 3 release schedule

The next content update for Burning Expedition, Temple of Darkness, will go live the week of January 17. On January 28, both team quests (Battle of Mount Hygar and temples of darkness) and the new Dailies will be available worldwide. Read below for new content coming soon.

January 17:

Warlock pet Night Demon

Warlocks can start a new quest to learn how to summon night demons, another type of magic that has been transformed into a disguise.

The new PVP season begins

When the new PvP season begins, players can purchase equipment for Arena Season 3 from arena merchants in Shattas and Nagran.

Equipment for Arena Season 2 can be purchased at a discounted price from merchants in Area 52, and there is no longer a Arena level requirement.

Equipment for Arena Season 1 can be purchased from the Hall of Legends in Orgrimmar and the Hall of Honor in Stormwind City's Hall of Warriors.

January 28:

New team quest: Battle of Mount Hygar

Defend your destiny in the life-or-death Battle of Mount Haigar and ensure that the demon Akmund is destined to die.

Team Quest Leader: 5 (Ricky Winter, Annascelon, Kazloga, Azgalo, Akmund)

Level: 70

Where: Tanalis Cave of Time

The player must complete the Open Door mission to enter the quest. Read the opening task flow below. Increase your prestige level in Quicksand Scales and earn rewards from indo-D'Hour.

New team quest: Dark Temple

Defeat the betrayer, Illidan Fury, at the top of the Dark Temple.

Team Quest Leader: 9 (High-Ranking Overseers Naintus, Supremus, Shadow of Akama, Taron Blood Demon, Gulturg Blood Boil, Soul Box, Mother Of Shahras, Council of Illidare, Illidan Fury)

Location: Shadow Moon Valley Dark Temple

The player must complete the Open Door mission to enter the quest. Read the opening task flow below. Increase your prestige level among the Grey-tongued Death Oath bearers and get rewards from Wokuno inside the Dark Temple.

Epic gems

The Jewelry Processing Catalogue of Epic Gemstones can be obtained from indo-dormy from the Cave of Time

Epic Gems can be mined in the Battle of Mount Haigar (requires 375 mining levels) or from rare drops from the Dark Temple

Winged Dragon Daily Quest area

Complete daily missions in Shadow Moon Valley and gain The Dragon Of The Spirit Wings prestige

Collecting Pterodactyl Eggs speeds up Prestige Acquisition

Players who achieve cult prestige will be able to obtain the Epic Void Baby Dragon Mount (requires expert riding skills)

Viper Temple and Storm Fortress loot

The bosses in these quests now drop an additional Class Suit Redeemer for a total of 3 pieces

Complete the Battle of Mount Haigar and the Opening Mission of the Dark Temple

Warriors hoping to brave the two new team quests will need to complete the opening mission first. Each role must complete a necessary task once.

Battle of Mount Haigar opens the door

Start the Battle of Mount Haigar

To start the Battle of Mount Haigar, you must first travel to Tanalis' Cave of Time to find Solidom. Solimi will provide the Quest "Eternal Water Bottle" to players who have reached the prestige of the Guardians of Time above. You can gain Guardian of Time prestige in the Old Hillsbride Hills and Black Swamp Dungeons of the Cave of Time.

Defeat Kelsas Day-Runner in Storm Fortress and Defeat Vaschi in the Serpent Temple to complete the Eternal Water Bottle mission to open the Battle of Haikal Team quest.

Dark Temple Open Door Mission

Open the Temple of Darkness

To get a chance to face Illidan Fury, you'll need to go to the Shatar Altar in the Valley of the Shadow Moon to find the scholar Sheila (Aldo), or find the Arcane Serris (astrologer) in the Temple of stars. Complete the following tasks:

3. Gray tongue corrosion

4. The Watcher's Cage

5. Proof of loyalty

6. Akama

7. Prophet Udaru

8. Omen of mystery

9. Atama Platform

10. Akama's Guarantee

After completing Akama's Guarantee, the quest line continues in the Viper Temple team quest at the Panya Reservoir (Zangah Swamp). After defeating the DeepWater Lord Caratheres, he sought out the Prophet Orum and accepted the next mission.

Artifacts of the Past require access to the Battle of Mount Haigar team quest to complete. To open the Temple of Darkness, the player must first complete the opening mission of the Battle of Mount Hygar.

Completing "Help Akama" rewards the Order of Carapo, allowing the wearer to enter the Temple of Darkness.
