This Wang Shichong and Dou Jiande communicated with each other, the river and the pond were held, and the tiger looked at each other, nervously threatening the Li Tang regime that was born. In order to clear the obstacles of confrontation, Li Shimin led tens of thousands of elite troops to engage, and Wang Shichong's large army was stationed in the North Blind Mountain, lining up and seeking opportunities to attack Wang Shichong's peripheral strongholds. And Dou Jiande heard what Tang Jun's sword feng was pointing at, and his lips were cold, and he also sent Xiongshi Xingye to help. Faced with the unfavorable situation of many soldiers and horses, the Tang army was actually involved in a fierce battle at the beginning of the war. In the middle of the Chinese war, there was exactly a strategic development point, which was personally given to the Shaolin faction by the Sui Emperor Yang Jian himself at that time. This famous legend that the rescue of the Tang King by the thirteen monks took place here.
It is said that in the last years of the Sui Dynasty, the monks protected the monasteries given by thousands of emperors, and the people lived and worked in peace and contentment. I never thought that Luoyang, within a radius of fifty miles, was also known as "Shenzhou" since ancient times because of its difficult terrain. Wang Shichong was beaten red-eyed, and even if the Buddha was not the Buddha, he all gave the land to Shuo, built bunkers, fortresses, and tun soldiers to stand with Li Shimin, and insisted on waiting for more than 100,000 Xia Guoxiong's divisions to help. At that time, it was Wang Renze of Tang, Wang Shichong's nephew, who was hired to forcibly carry out the demolition, who drove away Songzhongdi and eventually requisitioned it, but there was no compensation for a single son. This caused strong resentment from Shaolin. That's all a big guy's ration land, you built a Chinese city, what can we do? Therefore, when Li Shimin besieged Luoyang, Shaolin helped the Tang army to fight in order to retake the fields annexed by Wang Renze.
Speaking of this, I am reminded of the Shaolin Temple when I was a child, saying that Wang Shichong's nephew Wang Renze killed the rebellious God Leg Zhang, and his son Xiaohu went to the Shaolin Temple to be saved by the Shaolin martial monk Tanzong. At this time, Li Shimin led his troops to occupy Luoyang, and Wang Bing, Hua Ben, and Wang Renze were stabbed by Jueyuan. In order to inherit the legacy of Zen Buddhism, Jueyuan was ordained as a monk and under the jurisdiction of Wulin, Li Shimin wanted to increase his troops and erect a monument to praise, and the monks poured in. Since then, Shaolin martial arts have been known as the world, the four major peaks. At that time, the influence of this Chinese film in society was really huge, and it was empty of people, and even affected us at home and abroad. Therefore, since I was a child, I felt that it must be true that the eighteen-stick monk saved the Tang King, but when I grew up and came into contact with the real history, I was really poured cold water.
According to ye shi records, when Li Shimin pacified Wang Shichong, he was not beheaded by thirteen monks and soldiers, and he was also captured, resulting in hundreds of thousands of political and military leaders. In the same way, it was precisely Wang Shichong who led the army to fight with the Tang army, resulting in great damage to the Tang army, he took the initiative to lead his troops to surrender on their knees after running out of ammunition and food, and it was miansi who was killed by the enemy on the way to exile Shudi, so the so-called thirteen stick monks must not have existed in the history of the Tang King, this is just one of them. Second, if you pay attention to some of my following statements, you will invent that even if Li Shimin is in danger and is saved by the thirteen stick monks, then they should rescue Li Shimin, the king of Qin, and how can it be Wang Renze of Tang. It can be seen that this story is actually processed by the art of word of mouth after the folk tea and dinner. Since only the common people can confuse the Son of Heaven and Teacher Wang, the Son of Heaven is dead, Li Shimin and the King of Tang, if you put it on the strict historical official, you have to cut it all over the door.

Wang Renze tried everything to get out of the city and gave it to Tang Jun. But notice the name of the story, and even then, it is not called the thirteen-stick monk to save the Tang King, but the thirteen-stick monk to beat the Tang King.
