The family will prepare cigarettes in advance, brew hot tea, come first, do not rush, sit down to smoke a cigarette, drink a cup of tea, and then start working.
Household wells are not the same as deep machine wells in crop fields because the wells are relatively shallow. But it's also a technical and laborious job. First of all, the drilling team will discuss with the owner according to the situation of the yard to choose a location that is easy to get out of the water and convenient to use water. The tool for digging the well is very simple, that is, a long iron pipe, the lower head is pointed, and several people work together to poke directly on the selected ground with a sharp tip. This process is called "poking the well". If it goes well, there will be yellow muddy water rising up to more than ten meters, indicating that the location is not wrong. The whole process lasted for several hours, and the well head was settled, and the body and face of the well digger were covered with muddy water. When it is not smooth, it may not be able to hit the water, and you can only re-select the site to fight another time, and generally the second time you can hit the water. After the water is not finished, it is necessary to arrange special personnel to press the water until the yellow water becomes clear water. Sometimes even the water that is made is not necessarily delicious, it is bitter and salty, and it is very strange that the well water of the neighbor's house across the wall may be sweet. Therefore, drilling wells has an element of technology and an element of luck.
It is much more convenient to have a pressurized water well. Pressurized wells are useful and difficult to use. When you use it, you need to flush a scoop of water into the head of the machine, and then quickly press it a few times, which is called "calling water". A well that is easy to use can "call" water up from the well in a few clicks, without any effort, and if it is not easy to use, it is heavy and laborious. If you pour a yard of vegetables with pressed water, you will be exhausted. My family's is not very easy to use, the water is also astringent, especially in the summer, the vegetables have to be poured once a day, we children take turns to press the water, tired every day arm pain. But well water has an advantage, because it is groundwater warm in winter and cool in summer, hot days can be used to ice watermelon fruit, ice cold is not worse than the current refrigerator.
Later, the well had a machine, and a submersible pump was installed under the well, and as soon as the switch was pressed, the water was pumped up. Every household has a pressurized water well, and those reel wells are gradually dried up and abandoned, and the wells have lost their former bustle, and then they have been buried and cannot find any trace of the past.
