In the new year, Dongguan Guancheng Library specially launched the 10th "Beauty of Books" of "Inside and Outside books - Collection of China's 'Most Beautiful Books' (2011-2020) Award-winning Works Exhibition", with book design to enhance reading aesthetics, for the first time in Dongguan focused on presenting China's "most beautiful books" in the past ten years, bringing readers a rare book appreciation event. On the occasion of the tenth session, Guancheng Library's self-created paper reading promotion brand "The Beauty of Books" returned to China's "most beautiful books" for the first time based on the accumulation of ten years of collections, focusing on the award-winning works in the past ten years, and presenting readers with new trends and achievements in the development of Chinese book design. Exhibits include "Orders - Fangyuan Stories" (2015 China's "Most Beautiful Book", 2016 World's Most Beautiful Book Gold Award), "Wen Ai Yi Poetry Collection" (2011 China's "Most Beautiful Book", 2012 The World's Most Beautiful Book), "Talking Dance Traces: Oral History of Shandong"'s "Intangible Cultural Heritage" Dance" (2020 China's "Most Beautiful Book", 2021 World's Most Beautiful Book Silver Award), etc.
China's "most beautiful book" award-winning works can be called works of art, due to the exquisite printing and small print volume, it is difficult to find a book on the market, and this exhibition once exhibits as many as 180 kinds of China's "most beautiful books", each with its own characteristics, which is also the first time that China's "most beautiful book" has been unveiled in Dongguan on a large scale. It is reported that China's "Most Beautiful Book" selection activity was founded in 2003, is the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Press and Publications sponsored by the book design annual selection activities, its founding purpose is to promote Chinese culture, advocate the perfect combination of book design and content, improve China's book design level, and for China's book design to the world to establish a platform and window. As of December 2021, China's "Most Beautiful Book" selection activity has been successfully held for 18 sessions, and a total of 396 kinds of "Most Beautiful Books" in China have been selected, of which 22 have won the title of "World's Most Beautiful Books".
