Fang Jing said in his speech that Gulou, as the functional core area of the provincial capital and the central urban area of Nanjing, is known for its fine tradition of respecting doctors and health care, with many tertiary hospitals, dense institutions of higher learning, and professional talents gathering, and is the country's leading medical and health resource region, and the output value of the life and health industry in the whole region will exceed 44 billion yuan in 2021, ranking first in the city.
