The PTR test suit for World of Warcraft 9.2 has been open for more than a month, and data miners continue to break the story. They have recently discovered a batch of voice lines between Tyrand Andes and Sylvanas, which seem to imply that Sylvanas intends to submit to Tyrand.
The lines are mainly about the Warden, the ultimate villain of 9.0, who controls Anduin and inspires his evil. A sentence from Sylvanas implies that she intends to obey Tyrand's judgment.
The "tearing" of Sylvanas and Tyrand, two important female characters of Warcraft, began in 8.0 to dominate Azeroth, when Sylvanas burned down the night elf's home, the giant tree Teda Hill. Later, the two clash several times, with Sylvanas eventually betraying his allies to join the Warden, while Tyland seeks the power to hunt down Sylvanas and take him to Hell. In the most recent battle, Sylvanas regained some of her souls, which were taken away by the Warden after she was killed by Alsace's Grief with Frost in the WAR3 plot. Sylvanas, who had regained his soul, had a change of attitude.
In an interview with Game Rant, Steve Danuser, chief narrative designer for Warcraft, said that players can expect the two characters to resolve the problem of the ongoing conflict, and the two will have some important interactions. The recently dug-out voice line seems to hint at its content.
The plot can be written casually, but the player is worried that the character's personality will collapse. Sylvanas has always been tough and never yielded, but as she has lifted her dominance and repaired her soul, her personality has behaved differently from the image we have seen over the past 20 years. Fans of the Forgotten and The Queen believe that Sylvanas' biggest attraction is the "evil" part of her soul, including the establishment of the Forgotten Nation itself, but the performance now, and the possible future "from the good", abandons the classic setting.
Fans of The Night and Tyrand, on the other hand, are delighted with Sylvanas' change, gossiping that Tyrand will simply forgive Sylvanas, or give only mild punishment, even if Tyrand's character is meant to be revenge for destruction.
The voice lines mined by these data are only part of the unfolding of the 9.2 story, and what the future development is, and what the fate of these protagonists is, will not be known until it is online.
