SE has yet to announce a new PS5 game considering that it may distract FF16 from the heat

With Ubisoft+ making its way into Xbox, VGC's Jordan Middler recently said square is also "firmly on Sony's side, even beyond public knowledge." It's not surprising — the company's two latest blockbusters, Final Fantasy XI6 and Enchanted Lands, were only released on the PS5 (the latter was exclusive to the PS5 for two years). This is in consideration that Final Fantasy XII has not yet been officially released to the public, but there may be information released in the near future. Of course, the new game is not a Dragon Quest game, and a series like Dragon Quest XII has been released.

Regarding exclusivity, Middler said Square is focused on "console exclusivity, not putting the PC platform on an equal footing, you can look at the porting of their PC version of the game." Indeed, we only have to look at the initial distribution of the PC version of Final Fantasy VII: Remake.

Final Fantasy XI6 was originally scheduled to receive some new information last year, but faced nearly half a year of development delays. New details of intelligence are expected to be released this spring, but plans are always likely to change.
